I've been feeling a little off all day....turns out my cellphone and Windows clocks added an hour to themselves... I'd do the initial higher, closer to 350 in particular if your oil vat isn't really large since if you drop below 300 or so they will really soak up the oil. hmmmm, mkay so 350/375? sounds good...I really need to get one of those counter top fryers...hate having to dance around the thermometer...and I'm super ultra lazy

Just hours after threatening to strike at one or more GM plants, the UAW and the General have agreed on two-tier wages for certain job types. The move to clarify which jobs were "non-core" at the national level came as local UAWs were threatening to strike because they felt GM was asking for too many lower-paid positions at their plants. The more regimented deal identifies 16,000 positions that will soon be paid $14 per hour, which will save GM up to a half-billion dollars per year. It will take years to fill all of those positions because GM has to entice existing workers to retire before they can be replaced.

Apparently when Microsoft puts $44.6 billion on the line, it really means it, and the company just sent an open letter to Yahoo's board of directors stating in no uncertain terms that the 62% premium over Yahoo's closing price on January 31, 2008 was more than fair. The word is now that if Yahoo can't see that, Microsoft will be compelled to take its case "directly to [Yahoo's] shareholders." Microsoft is giving Yahoo three weeks, and then promises to try and start a proxy contest to elect an alternative set of directors to the board. :ready2go:
