  5. Absolutely love my mom's '99 Suburban. We have flogged that bastard over every terrain and weather condition imaginable sans mudholes, rockpiles, and blizzards. Only problem we've had on a routine basis is the number 5 cylinder misfiring when you gun it too hard on a big (steep) hill. 8.5 years, 190,000 miles and still going strong.
  6. where at? mine is starting to pool a bit in the garage. I am just gonna sell the piece of chit. dunno about the new Silverados but the 88-98 trucks have a radiator with two little plastic end tanks on either side. They seem to leak at the metal/plastic joint rather easily...
  7. Never have had anything go wrong with our GM trucks other than the radiators springing a leak. Cheapass designed part for sure...
  8. anyone remember a book about some teenager going to an alternate universe using mountain climbing gear attached to his desk...chit has been bugging me for days now...

  16. "Accounting students! Don't pass up this great opportunity! Halliburton will be on campus on Feb. 19, 2008 to hold an Info Session in Rm. 333 of the Rusk building from 6-9pm. Then, on Feb. 20th, they will hold interviews in the Interview Area of the Rusk building, third floor." Mmmmm, I smell student protest
  17. The story of my life
  18. arbitrary constraints if you ask me: why new? why mileage? isn't really about the $ why 28-40k? You realize that you just outlined a variance of $500/mo to $850/mo at 48mo (and yes anything longer is stupid) Doesn't have to be new; I most likely will never buy a new car in my lifetime Better mileage is always a perk Because I did only random searching, no real thorough investigation whatsoever I don't really have any objective constraints when it comes to automobiles TBH. I only ask that it have a) FR layout b) automatic/CVT c) at least a decent level of build quality. I also like effecient design but thats completely and utterly subjective...
  19. I don't think I will buy new until after my mid-life crisis. true
  20. Basically any car (assuming I buy brand new) or truck I want all get in the area of 22-27 MPG and cost between 28 and 40 grand...bugger...oh well, my Silver's still running strong so meh...

  23. Worked a total of 15 minutes, why I even bothered I haven't the foggiest Story time. I'm guessing it involves her inability to drive/park her SUV/van. I'm hoping she was hot, had 38DD's and you have pictures. Lets here the story! Nah, nothing like that...I was just highly offended by her 700 Club bumper sticker and I thought I ought to give her a piece of my mind...nothing worth writing home about...
