I had a cold when we left.... Have fun in Paris, it's my next destination after Greece this autumn. It would be nice to be able to travel Europe as frequently as you can. I hope by my next trip I am healthier and have less gear to haul around. Then I could see so much more.

Any ideas for where to eat/go while in Paris. I'm getting really excited now.

The heat got me Adrian. And not enough water..... Waiting at FCO to fly to Paris. Going into ORLY. I have heard it's much better than CDG. Thankfully I feel a billion times better. I slept as much as I could yesterday. Benadryl helped dry up my nose so I didn't cough as much. SO excited for Paris. Nothing can top the family treatment we got in Rome, but this half of the Vacation is for us. More relaxed and Paris will be cooler and probably more of my kind of a city.

Being sick on vacation sucks. Leave for Paris tomorrow..... I hope I feel a bit better.

I got some cheep prosecco to help me get a nap in. Yeesh. Andre styles I think. Wine is weird in Italy. Nothing as bad as the worst in the US. But the medium priced wines are not as good. Our host for the feast had good table wine, and one of the most dynamic reds I have had. It had a burnt caramel note. Not unlike a creme brule crust. Went great with the cheese and jam course. Beef course too. The fine selection I got from the street vendor to help me nap? Well, I had to mix it with pear juice.

I had a sparkling sweet red wine. It was crazy weird. Prosecco is crazy here. All home cooked meals have prosecco.

Crazy Sean! It was torrential here for an hour. Then just light rain. Romans must hate rain though. Streets are clear other than tourists.

We tried to go shopping, but it rained. Pounded a bottle of wine instead.

That's just about the best possible problem that can happen from burning embers.

Hooray. Got about 3.5-4 hours. Someone had diphenhydramine. Maybe I'm just massively allergic to something in the room/pillow. Never had a "cold" like this before.

Too bad. Vatican is my favorite part of Rome. Amazing history, art, and artifacts. At least do the museums. You can spend days there. I might try to go see some tomorrow, but I doubt it. Only got 2 hours of sleep a night for a few nights with this sore throat..... Sick on vacation sucks.

....the wife and I will celebrate our 5 year anniversary in Paris.... Not sure what to do....

We will have a bunch. My wife has done more with scenery I think. I've been spending the days shooting the celebrations.
