Any input on the Subaru Legacy 3.6r? It seems like a nice car and it would be ~35k loaded brand new. The interior isn't great but also not awful. Subarus are good cars. They have supposedly addressed their head gasket issues, but I can't say for sure. An old cohort of mine was a Subaru mechanic and he mentioned they had a fuck load of head issues. Mainly the boxers, I don't know much else. The STI my buddy had was incredibly fun. Faster than his 996s until 90-100 mph. Smaller than all heck though and looked so stupid with the monster wing on it.

Not that a rental says anything about reliability, or that an awesome rental is a rave review.

Had a few as rentals, and they were awesome.The build quality and past recalls turn me away from Nissan. I feel they grew too fast expanding their model line too much and quality suffered.

I really enjoyed the G37 coupe. It was however not thrilling, especially for a small "sports" car. Really slow 0-60 for it's size.

I like both cars actually, but the infinity is nicer. I think the Nissan is nice too.

Legacy doesn't make me feel awesome. It's just ok, and if I was buying just ok I would take the G37.

The V10 m5 is awesome. It feels passionate. I love how it's fun. I can fit, albeit not easily. It has the advantage of being a sedan. Not much is faster. The 997 is nearly perfect, but so expensive....Better gas mileage though.

Not a fan of anything Nissan anymore. Transmission problems out the ass and considerable drivability issues. While the typical auto trannys are not completely terrible, they are bad enough. Be sure the vehicle you look at does not wear the CVT tranny... Nissan CVTs are total shit. The 3.7 is a fucking solid engine, however. You drive me nuts! :-) What cars are reliable and fun? Or is that just diametrically opposed in your opinion? I don't know anyone with as much mechanic history who has as diverse of a range of cars as you.
