I feel the safest on that most of the time. If I don't like the jerks around me, my right hand gets me out of there faster and around them with more confidence. Brakes shorter too. For that the ML is quick enough. That is the only thing it is quikc enough at though.I bet it feels fast with all that weight, but the 50-120 on my bike is pretty intense. Anything past 20 is basically absurd. Probably another reason I LOVE those small German cars from Stuttgart so much. FML- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Knee dragging is loosing it's favour in GP but how to make sure you don't loose skin is important, dirt bikes and the road/dirt races had foot out heal down techniques on slow turns. Where you want your center of gravity is totally different.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Everyone I know who rides insists on learning on dirt. I have raced both. They are not even close to similar. Is learning to drive a sports car that will be driven on the road best learned on dirt? The difference in equipment is exasperated on a bike. Empty lot or track is best for pavement, and empty field or track is best for dirt. But a dirt bike does not handle the same as a race bike. If you try to turn a race bike like you do a dirt bike, you will either not turn at all or end up ass over tea kettle. How you sit on a race bike is the opposite of a dirt bike. What you have to expect when braking is completely different. How to handle curves and acceleration is completely different. You rely on the bars to turn on a dirtbike. It's barely part of the equation on a sports bike in most cases.- Post your guns!!

Just a Lee turret press. Works fine for me! Thanks. I'm trying to talk myself into a Dillon.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Should have come to see me! ;-) I'm going crazy with the deals!!! Circumstances are unique right now and there are deals that can be done for that. But not the top end products. Just depends on how hard I can tug on my bosses bosses boss.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I learned on pavement, and a good bit of track time. Learning how to deal with roads and other cars cannot be done in any condition but roads. A twisty course where you cannot accelerate to more than 30 even in the fastest bikes is a great way to learn mechanics. But it's all 6 of one.... No matter where you learn it's about being smart enough to not push your luck or limits, especially around other humans. If I had a kid I wouldn't want him on a road or race bike period, but saying a dirt bike on dirt prepares you for other cars or how the dynamics of a road or race bike rides is completely false.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I know way more people who have died from street riding than dirt riding. The point of starting on the dirt is to learn the controls and feel of a motorcycle on friendlier terrain and a more forgiving machine. It also doesn't suck as much when you drop the bike numerous times because you're new. That way when you jump onto the street you have less to worry about in the form of stop/start and other basic maneuvers. That might apply if he hadn't had a bike. But I still disagree completely.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
You really think riding on dirt is even similar to pavement?- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Dirt won't let you know how to ride street anymore than a street bike will make you an expert on a dirt track. Don't ride in rush hour traffic, especially in the beginning, when you start. Find a safe group to ride with. I made the mistake of thinking I was with a good group, they were not. Avoid sunrise and sunset. Avoid places where there are drunks.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
As for the bike advice I know 4 people who were hospitalized from dirt bike fuck ups. None who did it on street bikes. I also started with a race bike and couldn't have made a better choice. If I could go back, I might have purchased used not new though. That said I did flip it when a new "friend" I made did a stoppie across the path I was riding. This was within the first year of ownership.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

800-1200 is the sweet spot for clearance product right now. Gets you much more than normal. Tempurpedics are almost certainly priced out of that, but I'm not 100% sure.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Did I miss what they said thought was the cause from those products? They are really different products so a correlation is odd... Anyway... It can't have anything to do with the extreme binge drinking in the military helping out could it?- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Ha, will it really help that much? I am interested but know jack shit about beds.*goes to look at what we have If you wake up in pain, a new bed will probably help.I was more saying that at these prices, you would be dumb not to buy. Trying to think of what I "need".I don't wake up in pain, not even close but I do snore. You need quality of life. An adjustable base helps with snoring. Not as much as a CPAP but it helps. I'm also just trying to push shit this month because of extra incentives for me and customers.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
