No it is fun, but the turbo has much much much less of a chance of engine trouble. Even with mods. The regular flavor doesn't just blow up, it is rare to have problems... But the turbo is rock solid. I also look as the turbo 996 as "free" AWD. While I don't need it, it would be nice in MN.

Something else Americans think is that AWD always means only one tire pulling/pushing the car. They don't know modern systems can spin all 4.

Your company needs an overhaul. Or maybe they see an impending problem soon and are bracing for that. Increasing productivity per dollar or per worker, or work unit... However you name it should always be #2 priority for growth and ultimately survival. And I don't mean push workers hard, I mean efficiency and helping them get their part done faster or easier or less chance of injury etc etc. #1 is getting orders. :-)
