Because when you aren't you'll push WAY less air. Pair of Mael's? Yup maelstrom X. I couldn't remember the name for the life of me. Should be just about 15 or 16 cubes for each 18". I think the box was tuned was to about 13 hz.

Just finish it and see if you have a problem with it. Or is it still in the design phase? All the damn MDF is cut. 3 boards or more deep in MDF already. It has been cut for a while and today I pulled all the wood inside from the garage to finally assemble. If its in my face I will do something about it kind of thing. Cleaning up the workshop etc. Well I look at it and realised my mistake. I wasn't thinking at the time. Just popped some shit into winsd or whatever that program is and made the most simple design possible. Fucked up bad. Two foot by four foot of unbraced unsupported MDF on one side and the port looks to be only 2" tall. At the time I only accounted for port area when thinking about velocity, not that if it is too narrow it will be nothing but turbulent crap. :-(

Anyone else lay in bed thinking, not worried perhaps, but just thinking about decisions and reviewing information and facts about every choice? At least when it comes to leasure activities. I am much more decisive about work because I make deadlines for myself and have constraints. In fun choices, the world is an my buffet and I want it all. :-)

Welcome to the IHoP
So I am working on my HT boxes and I have come to the conclusion that I made a horrible error in design. My slot port is basically a giant unbraced pannel and I have no way of correcting it. It also is such a narrow slow that it will probably create a lot of noise. The area should be ok but it is insanely narrow. Should I just build the boxes sealed instead? They are about 16 cubic feet if I remember correctly.

Amateur. My wife is a webernet shopper extreme. 20 packages is a slow week. None are big boxes though.

I liked the folding box cutters best, and one of the guys had the knife I linked(old cheep knock off version) that he left behind. It was a little sturdier for when I had to cut material tougher than just paper or tape. For the longest time I used to just keep those folding box cutters or one like you linked around. Just moved onto more multi use knives since I don't with with packages all that much anymore.

Adrian, this is one of my favorite knives ever. I don't know if it is still made. The blade though unique, was such a useful shape. Boxes will fall in record time. Twine, sticks and anything else cleve apart like the red sea. Ok, maybe not that awesome, but it worked well for me. I had a knockoff for a while that I used at work. http://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Yojimbo-2-Folding-Pocket--9531

best guess. Powder Metal does this. I think the color(like blue and white etc) are a referance to the bins they keep the steel in. I read that a looooooooooong time ago when researching Japanese knives. Don't quote me, just my old man memory.
