No torn tendon says the orthopedic surgeon. Maybe a break but they can't find it without an xray. Strict rest and if he is still hurting in 5 days then back in for xray to look for a small not obvious break.

Well, we shall see.... surgery is expensive but we will get him better. I'm so stressed I just started crying last night while hanging out on his pillows and then he strated licking me trying to make me feel better. :-D Not that anything is fair, but this dog only has love. He should have gone his whole life without pain That breed is very loving and their goal is to please their master. Sounds like the master has great love for Jack. :)/> Best of luck. A lot more in some ways, but the give and take is much more human than I have ever met with a dog before. He is simple in truth. But so much like a little child I the style he shows affection it is freaky. The techs at the vet office all come out for him, and I think the one lady had it right when she said he is a celebrity. When he worked security with me it was the same. He just has a way of making you care for him. :-D

Didn't you read emergencies? And of course by canned in this instance I mean in those carton thingee's. But no, I don't roast chickens for stock. I roast chickens to eat and make stock later. There is beef, lamb, chicken, turkey and ham stock in my freezer atm. You know I am giving you shit. I have not got the hang of beef stock. My chicken stock, though often greenish hued from the herbs, is beyond reproach. Heck I like the stock more than the chicken itself most of the time :-D Beef I just cannot get beefy enough.

Canned chicken stock! Lazy. Don't you just roast a few chickens every time you need stock so it is fresh? ;-)

Headed to the vets office in a bit. Jack will hang out there, the orthopedic surgeon will meet him and feel his leg etc and then advise on what to do. The GP said Jack has a little arthritis in the other knee too..... not bad but it just sucks. The wife stayed home today. Normally I am the rock, but I think I am all tapped out and seeing my buddy hurt just sent me over. Glad I have a good wife.

We don't know how he got hurt. The doc thinks it could be a puppy version of ACL torn. He doesn't whimper or cry or make any noise. He is a trooper about it. They gave him some puppy Tylenol. I hope it helps. He needs to sleep. The doc said he had arthritis in he other knee.... which he said is normal and not a big deal... it breaks my heart though. I know how much arthritis hurts.
