  1. Rare poultry is ok in some cases...... just not in the case of what we get from the average grocery store. Sean, in Japan have you had rare/raw chicken?
  2. No mistakes in the tango, not like real life. If you have an accident and get tangled up, you tango on.
  3. Funny, I can't tell bird without a thermometer.
  4. ........too poor. :-)
  5. Sear hot, then cook low. Real low isn't bad. Much harder to time if you use 300 or so but the rewards don't suck. I would imagine it really tough to try at 300. Do you use an internal thermometer? Sort of, I use a calibrated pointer finger. ROFLMAO The bar just looked at me for laughing so hard. I use my pointer finger to test also. Everyone looks at me funny when I can tell them. I surprised lots of women with that same finger too.....
  6. In general you get a better break down of the connective tissue.
  7. We eat steak exactly the same. I'm not surprised by that though. Where can I find it that marbled locally?
  8. I would like a small laptop myself. 14" or so. For single tasks I have my tabletand for real work I have my home machine. A laptop is really only for traveling multitasking and intense single tasking. I need a large fast machine to research effectively or work on a large project.
  9. If you are cooking a fillet, there is not enough fat for cast iron cooking without adding some extra. Redeye, maybe, but the fat would need to render and it's usually too hot and too fast for that to happen.

  11. What fat are you cooking with? I use pig fat usually. Butter is ok for a fillet. Medium high for....60 seconds sears each side. Maybe less. Then in an over at 500 for 4-5 min. Always rare and perfect.
  12. I <3 hoolahoop
  13. Stranded why?
  14. Just 6 here. Imagine feeling that way for 10 straight years.
  15. Welcome back.
  16. I hate when my guts are sick like this...
  17. Thought you guys would like to know.
  18. I must have a GI bug. Yuk.
  19. Nice mike. That is what I am basically doing.
  20. You're a gentleman and a scholar. And hansom. I don't care what they say about you.
  21. Mine too? :-D
  22. Like a second job. Sure it doesn't pay well... but it's a resume builder!
  23. well.... technically it could be called "work". We will just give you a task or two and pay you in beer.
  24. Last night would have been a epic hang out and I NEEDED a cigar. Was sitting in a beer garden in a small village after racing chucking German beer. They are having a festival tonight so ALL the farmers were making haybales and driving them right past us. And by right past I mean within 6' of where I was sitting. All the city folk were confused and I felt at home. Was awesome. Truly a memory. That sounds great. I'm jealous of your traveling. I think it would be good for me and my marriage if I was gone more. When you have time off we should do some night boating. Cigars and whisky style. Don't be jealous, that spurt only lasts a little while. If I change jobs it'll be more travelling. I understand I haven't lived it so I don't know...... but to me, the travel sounds ideal in almost every way.
  25. I would rather get punched in the face than use wireless. If I wasn't so poor, I'd fly to MN. Really though it's a pain in the ass with the cord flopping around everywhere. Perhaps if I wore a shirt and ran it under then it wouldn't be as bad, but I prefer not soaking a shirt in sweat if I don't have to. Put the cord behind your back.
