It's almost impossible for me to reliably get Sun on my knees with any kind of intensity. In a tanning bed I can control exactly the intensity and duration. And I can hike the shorts up in the booth to a level that I wouldn't want to in public. Knees are easy to get sun on, sit down You would have laughed at me if you could have seen some of my poses in the back yard. A few bucks and 10 min in a clean place is ok for me for now.. A side effect is I look WAY thinner just being a little darker. It's pretty silly.
