  1. cheep bloody mary breakfasts or screw drivers to get a little hair of the dog FTMFW.
  2. I don't care what you guys think I took some kick a$$ pictures I'm proud of so you will have to suffer. I needed a lime for my Kettle and tonic, and had to cut the lime. Stamped W, forged W, Then some blue #2 covered in mild steel yanagiba and then a Deba. Bit different in thickness too. The thinnest on the right is by far the dullest. This pic is in reverse order from the first
  3. 10 summers old. Awesome.
  4. I spent the other night cleaning the BGE. I haven't had the Egg get as hot as I'm used to recently and needed to open up the vent wider. I can normally get in the 700+ temps in 10 min or so, but I couldn't get past 500 without my home made FI kit, and even then it wasn't stable. The lower fire holding ring had so much ash spill out of the edges it was blocking airflow. Never took it apart for a total cleaning in the few years I've had it. Just scrape out ash, never thinking about the lower fire ring leaking ash between the wall and itself. I can't wait to get some more scalops and bacon and put them on the grill now!
  5. WHat did you say about scalops?
  6. crazy stomach cramps.
  7. I saw that...certainly one way to make a tandoor Crap, I missed it. Although knowing Alton he used some terra cotta. Did he get the naan to stick to the sides of it? Amusingly, he could have just used a BGE as it is basically a tandoor if you take the grill grates out. *watch that is what he used Yah. Took an angle grinder to the bottom and put it on the grill with some lump. I didn't see if he made naan. I only caught the last part while creating his 10 dollar tandoor. I am jelly of his skewers though!
  8. I saw that...certainly one way to make a tandoor He's definately creative. It also looked like her deviated from his shun knife durring that episode. :X Might be pre sponsorship.
  9. dang I should have taken pics of the new pasta maker whilst I had the cannon out.
  10. peng alton is making tika for you....
  11. uh oh! someone has a wicked buzz on!
  12. anyone want to see some middle of the road but good value carbon steel knives?
  13. SJ is a champ. Both in flavor and value.
  14. Good cuz I'll need 2 The labor was god aweful expensive. No more paying others when you have your saw now.
  15. kettle one and tonic time!
  16. double
  17. Good cuz I'll need 2
  18. Perfect hole for the BSE. Did you fire it up without slate in that pic? Ryan2 - Thanks for the tip. I'll use a 2x4 frame, I'll probably use slats reather than ply though. Probably not treated.
  19. Sean, I'm thinking 4 4x4's as posts and then just 2x4's for support and base for building my egg stand, then toss on some wheels on one side so I can roll it. I have the slate base from the billiards table to keep it off the wood. IS there anything else I'm not thinking of??? Also did you fire up the saw!!>?>???!11?/11/?
  20. First time I lost a lot of weight I just woke up and started jogging. I couldn't jog as far as I set myself up for, but I forced myself to do it. Sometimes throwing up from my lungs not being used to it. I was 18, now I'm 30. I'm not sure if I could go into work after that like I would go into HS after.
  21. Why next week? Why not this week? I have obligations every night this week for tax and appointments for finances. I have started pedaling on the bike everymorning before work to loosen everything up so I'm ready. I do agree 100% with the wish you would have started now 1 week from now. No good excuses other than I need time to get everything set up for it to be automatic or else I won't do it.
  22. I think next week I'm going to start a new exercise and diet lifestyle change. My health is getting so bad I can't afford to be over weight also. Maybe it will help with some of my issues too. God knows just a little more moving would really help the arthritis.
  23. Shhhh It's heart break really. Maybe I'll snap some pics. I could link a pic of the knives online, but it will look WAY better next to my granite.
  24. She likes to use a dull knife? Yes for things like cutting a banana into baby size pieces and other shit that is handheld. I don't know, I still use one that cuts. I understand that for sure. We have a buttefly knife that we keep in the kitchen as a letter opener/pry tool. It probably cost 5 bucks but it's nice to have a bluntish edge to work some things with. I got to use 1 of my new knives 1 time this weekend. I cut an onion with the yanabiga, and it works for cutting verry thin slices, but it's too thick for cutting larger cuts.... Oh well. I guess I have to buy a thin vegi slicer......
  25. I NEED to build a stand for my BGE! It sucks having it on the ground.
