Sounds like a bargain for all the thrills and excitement you can have. For bleeding edge speed and tech, it's actually kinda cheep.- Welcome to the IHoP

The MN state bird is a PITA on the front end of vehicles up here. Oddly enough, my truck has less problems than any other vehicle with bugs.- Welcome to the IHoP
I'm going to convert my house over to 12VDC for lighting using a simple homebuild wind generator, a single solar cell and a bank of small batteries and relays. I hope to have the house off the grid, lighting-wise in less than 6 months. Make a thread when you do please! My next project after my kitchen is to install LED lighting all through the house. I would love it to be motion triggered so at night we could have some floor lighting. Under cabinet/under the island would be great too. Off the grid lighting would be amazing.- Welcome to the IHoP

reasons? A couple although they are more than 15 years old. Turtle wax had an issue that destroyed some paint jobs and when I frequented them everyone at carshows used Meguiars that seemed to know anything. Then 3M came out and I can usually get someone to take me to the company store for wholesale goodness. Mothers wax frustrated me as well. Just didn't go on or come off as easily as I felt it should. Not an issue of effort either. In a just bought an old car detail though I do get tired, hard to go at it for 10 hours. Same reason I only wash my windows with Sparkle. Seems to streak WAY less than anything else and doesn't fuck anything up. Had issues with everything else pretty much, but again a long time ago. I've never tried sparkle. I usually was my windows once with something cheep(asuming they are actually dirty and not just a touch up), then I use invisible glass. I love invisible glass so much for getting crystal clear windows...- Welcome to the IHoP
I love sexy black tires. I think I have used black magic a few times myself. I'd recommend not using any kind of tire shine. It causes weather cracking faster. really? Amazing I thought it protected it like armorall. Wild. I had always heard that the good tire conditioning products actually helped the rubber last... no? As long as they aren't full of petroleum distillates I'd agree. I never even thought they would put something like that in there. I'm going to read the bottle next time.- Welcome to the IHoP

When I repaint the damaged side on the expedition I am going to strip down to the clear and buff everything out. For a 12 year old truck she's in great shape, but the paint is a bit dull and some swirls. It sounds silly but for work vehicles my buddy uses an aircraft/boat wax that shines up so good that if you weren't trying to win some show it would outshine most products. He puts it on his big f250 and can use a squirt gun to clean that thing off. I've seen him use windex on that stuff before if he really wants it to shine up good. He cracks me up.- Welcome to the IHoP
i don't know to much about LEDs but aren't those a bit spendy?- Welcome to the IHoP
meguires is a great product. I actually often use their "detailing" spray in between washes if I need to. It does amazing things to a good wax coat.- Welcome to the IHoP
You won't have to change your handle after all!- Welcome to the IHoP
A large gamut of 3M products. Same thing I use on all my cars. I know you did ask Sean originally but I wanted to second this since he did say 3m products. A good friend of mine who has won at least one state award, probably more, for painting cars uses 3m products and nothing else. He's the biggest tight wad, farm boy, but ALWAYS uses 3m.- Welcome to the IHoP
I heard a clip of a 911 call where the pedal was pinned and the driver came into an intersection. It was horrible. A family of 4 just wiped out. If he would have only slapped it into neutral and hit the ditch.... Not the drivers fault, just a reminder though if you the pedal sticks, neutral is your friend.- Welcome to the IHoP
Black is a bitch monkey to keep it looking clean, whereas navy blue usually isn't (sister's Corolla certainly isn't, can go nearly a month in an Arizona-ish climate and still look relatively clean) if that is not an issue to you, flip a coin You don't know me very well, clean shouldn't be an issue. I've owned 5 other black cars btw. There is NO better color for a vehicle. I am a black on black guy, but would take a saddle leather interior. I love the King Ranch interior x2 Black on black if at all possible. I do like I have seen the E63 and new S class in some off white creamish custardish looking color. It would however be horrible here in MN- Welcome to the IHoP
That's a NICE looking car. - Welcome to the IHoP
