  1. that is one heck of a project. looking good. Looks tough as all hell and overbuilt. I like it.
  2. Before that it was high-flo crappers, so I guess it is a step in the right direction. atleast i was somewhat interested in that. the way doo doo runs into our perfectly clean waters can be kind of interesting. on that note, as anyone had first hand experience with the toilets that wash your crack for you when you flush? i can't believe somebody didn't mention putting that in their house! Fancy counter tops > or = fancy poo hardware.
  3. I thought about slate as well, also black quartz but any sort of pattern sort of clashes with the granite. Travertine would have less patterns, but I also want to make it easy to clean meaning clean cuts, small grout lines, and no pores to collect crap. Slate! Thank you for the tip. When I got into this I didn't really think about the fact I would talk to one place for the stone and another for the fabrication. I found out that cold springs has a few showrooms around here. Maple Grove and eagan. I might email and see if they have the full selection. It looks like they don't cut or install, but a place a few miles north of us works close with them. Also keeps one style that looks like it might be nice in person at a discount in stock. I'd love slate, but it may be too dark and not smooth enough. My bathroom is getting done in 100% slate including the wall. Pics when I get further along. I would love to do projects like that..... It would be such a waste in my house though, I don't even have a "master" bath. Fawk. I should have skipped the massive kitchen remodel, purchased less in appliances for the HT kitchen and house, and purchased a porsche... And I know if I did.... I would be saying the same in reverse right now. At least I can sell the house for more some day.
  4. ....aren't you an expert pistol shot too??? They must be mildly retarded.
  5. I don't have a clever TOP for this page....
  6. It's not talk like a pirate day... I guess constepation.

  10. just seams far to drive with such heavy shipment but I supose your right. When I sold bedding I delivered a mattress personaly almost 200 miles away...
  11. Sean wouldn't getting stone from so far away from local drive the cost up drasticaly?
  12. That person needs a great big fail stamp.
  13. Definitely. Speckled granite just makes your kitchen look like one gigantic bass boat... Some of us like Gigantic Bass Boats Not that I want my countertops to be silver metal flake That would be amazing! Sounds like something you actually find in some houses way up in Northern MN trailor country.
  14. She said the exact same. Wants end tables covered in it. =) Some truely amazing stone on that site
  15. Stone source in plymouth. Wifes cousin got a decent price there. We are really trying to not have the extremely black type granite. Something with a broader pallet to pick up on the colors from. I don't need it fron india either. It was just one of the 2 we liked, and probably only because the 2 larger pre cut peices has some amazing natural paterns in it. We were fans of things with at least 2 colors, staying away from yellow type stone. Veins > Speckles. That site is great for looking at styles. The wife wants this now that she saw that site. Van G
  16. rock top!
  17. Sean do you feel comfortable giving any recomendations? The slabs we wanted are sold. I haven't bought any up there, but can ask my brother in law. What did they call the slab you were looking at? I'm pretty much open to a different color. Vyara Juparana Granite is what we liked. They had some specificaly nice peices in stock though. The sample peice looked like crap. Like this? http://www.marble.com/stone/Juparana,Golden,Vyara,268.html that is damn close. the one we looked at was almost shaded with a blue gold type color. amazingly close though. that place has HUGE selection.
  18. I'm off to dance class. Peace out Hop!
  19. I am a front loader only person, they always clean better. You really feel that? I was totally unhappy with my last front loader. Whirlpool I beleive. It may have just been other things that ticked me off about it, but I never felt it did the job. I like the ease of use of an elivated front loader, but considering how simple the machine I have is now and how powfull it is, I'm happy. It's no beauty contest winner though.... <-- grew up working in a family owned Drycleaners. Don't mean to sink your ship since yours are new, but front loaders are WAY superior at cleaning and a lot gentler on your clothes. That's AWESOME. My buddies parents did the dry cleaning thing for quite some time! I went out delivering and helped moves clothes at the shop when I would go visit him. I'm gonna have to call him now. =) Oh and no worries, my wife wanted this one. And my clothes come out better than they did before. I'm happy then!
