20 percent overrated is alot lol, and the 1600 does about 1200 so its closer to 25 percent well thats just perfect for my ssd thats why i bought the 1606d instead of the 1206d

i got the 1606d, its not bad at all, havent had a problem with it yet but my gain is only at half-way, and i got a loaded SSD 12". i think its like really only 20% over-rated.

well i returned the optima to autozone and they said it was bad so i got a new one. ima try to put it in and see how the voltage drops with heating on... really i think the only difference between the yellow top and my battery is that the yellow top is a deep cycle. i just thought it would be smart to put the yellow top under the hood if i didnt get another battery in the trunk.

that is why i decided to keep the stock alternator b/c i dont even think it does higher than stock amp output at idle.

well i dont think im goin to stick with the H/O alternator. and with my stock alternator, its gonna have trouble powering two batteries so i decided not to get my friends deal, but my brother is going to buy it from him tho. i did however bought a optima yellow top. for some reason tho when i checked the voltage on the yellow top with my heating and defrost on, it was really low about 12.1 volts. i did a replacement of my stock battery under the hood n kept the cap in the trunk. with the heat and defrost off the voltage jumps back to 14.1. everything is good until the heat is turned on. with the audio turned on, things are still above 13.0 what am i doing wrong here? i thought optima yellow tops were supposed to be the best?

i have about 1200 watts on the system and the oem alternator i think is 80 amps. i want to get an extra battery in the trunk. i can either get the kinetik hc800 or the hc1400. i do not know if my stock alternator will be able to handle the battery under the hood and the hc1400. i can buy the 1400 from a friend for about 140 so its a good deal. but im afraid that my alternator will die if i use the hc1400 instead of the hc800. does anyone know if i could go with the hc1400? o and i also have a H/O alternator with 130amps but i dont know if it actually does more than stock at idle so i dont know if the h/o alternator would be any better at powering the extra hc1400. any help would be appreciated.

yea i think one of the fuses was kinda loose and i pushed it fully in so that could have been it too.

well i checked and did everything again n im not sure wat it was but it started to work again when i was at the local audio shop, made me look retarded cus i said something was wrong but it was playing right... weird ill have to see what happens tomorrow tho. thanks

well i had it in the box wired paralleled. so i did the pop test, and it popped outward but does this mean that both coils are okay or do i have to remove from box and test individual sides? i have it wired correctly to the amp. so what other issue is it? i checked if rcas fell out behind deck and it wasnt. i checked grounds and they were good. the only thing is that a couple of days earlier i had a lot of condensation on the capacitor, and this is when the sub started to not produce any audio... i cleaned it but sub still doesnt produce any sound. the way i have the power wire running is from the battery to the cap's + and on that pole is also the power wire from the amp. and separate grounds but within 6 inches of each other. i also read around and some say that the input rca connection on the amp could be messed up. how do i check to see if its messed up? but i really dont think this is it b/c i only had the amp for 4 weeks...

yea same thing happened to me. i thought i had problems at the cap but it wasnt. i get no sound outta the sub and amp is still in okay mode. checked all connections also. help... o n i got 1 12" ssd

well i went out n bought tdks they were 1x-4x cd-rw. i burnt one and it worked fine. i hope it still works after awhile. and im just wondering if it is bad to keep the disc inside the headunit or if it doesnt matter.

yea ur right, man i just burnt a cd-rw and i think the speed on these memorex's are only 16x no other... i cant change the speed on them for some reason. i think ima go find some tdks or more expensive memorex i cant remember where i got these but they were cheap cus i was only lookin for cheap

well i used winamp and nero to burn the cd-rws and the headunite is fairly new. maybe i should try to burn slower, the phillips i got burns at 52x, maybe that is it... o n i used two different burners too, internal and external.

are you talkin about cd-rw? i mean for cd-r i can play any brand. i got the JVC KDG230

i got a jvc head unit that is campatible with cd-r/cd-rw. for some reason i can rarely play philips cd-rws. i have not tried any other brand but does anyone know how a good brand of cd-rw that would work well with car head units? my headunit also plays any cd-r brand just fine. o n sorry if this is the wrong place for this topic
