Get an amp that does about 800-1000 watts at 2ohms instead of going with .5 ohms. It will be easier on your electrical and you will have a lesser chance of a crapped out amp. Funny that I am shipping a sub right now that I initially thought was a 15" Fi Q to your city.

Pushing on the cone can only tell you that there's no noise from coil scratches. Get the DMM and read the coils. Get the sub out and look at the tinsels and check for physical anomalies.

DMM check coils, check wiring. Is your amp not turning on because subs don't "turn" on or off?

How do I know which series BL I have? I just have the motor and was going to order a recone but not sure if its an 08 or 09 series. Anyone know how I can tell?
