  1. Well shizzzon and I just tuned the amp and it was LOUD. It sounded great too on about 30hz bass music with the port plug in. The subs are wired at 4 ohms. My rear deck, roof, and truck false floor was rattling a LOT. I have to keep the floor from flexing so much because it is kind of loud. It interfered with the sound too. I didn't think it can get that loud really. Maybe, I'll take some videos later. My camera probably won't pick up any sub movement though. When shizzzon gets some new probes for his mic then we will see what numbers it can do.
  2. that looks amazing. sorry for the resurrection but its that good.
  3. I don't like kicker amps because of their fixed subsonic filter. I never had an interest in MTX stuff. Fi FTW
  4. x2. Durability comes into play a lot when choosing between brands.
  5. Wow. Nice fab work on everything. Love the battery idea. I wished I didn't need my spare tire.
  6. I say do 2 12" Qs or Icons in a ported box. I wouldn't do 2 15"s sealed. Just my 2 cents.
  7. Keep the amp if others say that it does what its rated. Ditch it if its way over-rated. What is your box size and tuning if its ported? That would be the first thing I change. You may even be able to turn your current box around facing different directions and it will get louder, maybe.
  8. sell that amp and get one with a variable subsonic filter. just my opinion. I don't like kicker amps because of this fixed subsonic filter. You don't have much room to play around with box specs.
  9. and the sub woofers displacement also lol and bracing.
  10. what was the 4 12" subs' box tuned to? and why did you go with the push/pull style? Just wondering.
  11. Don't forget you have to subtract port volume from the total volume of the box too.
  12. that amp is fine. its the subs that have to handle the amp not the other way around. You can under power subs and they will still be okay. why not just go 0 gauge wiring instead of 2 4 gauge wires?
  13. The amount of power you can give those subs changes depending on the size of the box. Also, make sure that these set-ups that you have seen are not just for comps but for musical set-up if thats what you're going for.
  14. I'll let you know some time soon.
  15. I got it at lowes. What do you mean what stuff I usually use?
  16. I used a router to round over all the edges and I used kilz primer.
  17. I think the stuff on cabnets that you are talking about is veneer. For my home theater box, I used a high gloss paint. it looks almost like a panio finish. Granted, I could have sanded it a little more between each coat and after but I wanted to hurry so its not perfect. I don't know if that would help you though. Good luck ont he bondo though.
  18. Second Skin DampaFire, DamperFire, Damp-a-Fire, Damper-Fire.
  19. So are you strictly talking about icons or not? Reread what you post.
  20. Good luck. That looks awesome though. It should sound loud.
  21. Yup, no low voltage at all. Also, I am going to be getting a DC Power Alt. too.
  22. Well then it must be another one.
  23. well, the amp went up in smoke when we were testing so I just sold that off to someone that knows how to fix it because it is a great amp and is pretty pricey for a new one. I am going to be picking up an audiopipe AP-3000D.
