  1. wow, nice score. Why did you go with the two separate boxes instead of a one? and why not wall it?
  2. right when I said corrosion and wiring looks to be too small, I scroll down and read and saw you were changing terminals and whatnot. Also, I am with KU40. Everything under 0 gauge looks small. lol. Good job on the install.
  3. thanks. if he gave me more time, I could fix up on the paint around the circles surrounding the subs. I used blue paint tape and it didn't help very much.
  4. Maybe, it depends how well your and his enclosures are built and which one of you two have found out what your car peaks at.
  5. lol. thats a big ass cover for a little ass magnet. I have never seen that. nice sub for the niece too. What would it be going into?
  6. why 18s? get some 12s in their optimal enclosure and it will be much better for you. You might even be able to do with 15s. Also, if I had kids that hate loud noise then I'd go with less power to save my kid's ears, mine from them crying, and money.
  7. yup, I got a really good deal off someone on Ca.com. I got my friend a 1608d for 150 shipped. It was opened and used once to test that it works. It has been working fine since on 4 sundown E8s. But everyone do praise the sundown amps for a reason.
  8. I wanna hear it. hey you think I can come by and get the speaker wires today?
  9. you gave one dimension. how would anyone get the volume measurement when only one dimension is given? 9.-1.5 ft^3 per 10" ssd or 1.8-2.5 ft^3 per 12" ssd can be found on their website in the tech section.
  10. The sundown amp is rated at 12.8 or so volts and the hifonics is rated at 14.4 volts so it would be around 1800 watts at 12.8 volts and then 20% over-rated. You may or may not hear the difference depending on how trained your ears are. Also, if you take care of your equipment then the hifonics will do its job and last. I have had experience with the hifonics bxi amps and they have never failed me. It comes down to if you want that extra 500 watts or the difference of the money you would spend on the hifonics instead of the sundown. I have never had problems with hifonics amps so I cannot comment on their customer service. I have never deal with sundown's customer service either. I have only bought some subs from a sundown rep from my state.
  11. bp increases thermal handling. also, on the size, get what is going to fit in your car with the box that will be optimal for the subs. I'd get 10s to fit the optimal size box instead of getting 12s and only giving them a minimal sized box. However, if you can fit a box good for the 12s then go ahead and get them.
  12. Thanks. The reason I wanted my port on the side is because that was the loudest in my 96 accord.
  13. Because of this reason, I made my port to where it didn't go around the corner.
  14. go to search, and type in "how to do big 3".
  15. Wow, I finally got your calls. I haven't been home all day. I see you have been doing some work. lol. Well shit that right there would work then. Get the wires done so I can get mine done. Then we can scare the little kids with our systems.
  16. wow, nice. I was going to use the door hinges on my box port as well. Good work. How did you get the tuning for the box when the plug is out? I see that the port starts out big and then gets smaller after the corner. I didn't do my box with a corner because I didn't know how to do that. Luckily, my port doesn't need to wrap around a corner. I'd like to know just in case next time I have to do another one and have to wrap around a corner.
  17. wow, that turned out very well.
  18. What experience have you had with box building?
  19. I bought some used 1/0 welding cable from BenHemp and they are flexible and have plenty of strands too. Well worth the money.
  20. what size of the BL do you have? I think a charger has more then enough for a 3ft^3 box even if the BL was a 15". If not then the 12" BL can be in a box of 1.8 ft^3 ported tuned to 33hz.
  21. What about board skin? The white is hurting my eyes. I can only stand my ears hurting. ps- I love the new PM system.
  22. 500 watts each ssd in a sealed box of that size is fine. You don't need BP option. The SSD is rated for 800 watts a piece.
  23. they have 0 currently.
