  1. i know i kinda talked about this before, but i wanted to update what i was doin. i have 2 psi 18s in seperate enclosures. Before i had only .50ft of port area in each box according to Torres. now i have about .98 which is double the port area than before. it apperently brought my tuning from about 31hz to 36 or so hz according to Torres. will this still be ok for daily? Was this a good idea or do you thing i will regret doing this? not quite finnished with this change..your thoughts.....
  2. Going from .52 to about 1.00 ft3 of port area. It is bring my tuning from 31 to 37 htz. Length is going from 15 to 18 inches total. Should let the subs breath a lil more. Im gonna try this before I rebuild the whole thing.
  3. i agree. if u dont like noise, dont live by a raceway lol
  4. this vid is pretty funny...its even funnier that this b**** thinks anyone gives a s*** about her voice mail. haaaaaa
  5. Eventually I'm probably gonna sell em n get 2 zcon 18s
  6. Seems to me like they don't dissipate heat well. There are no vent hold on the side of the basket. After just 20 seconds of playing them loud the dust caps get hot. Ive already had to recone one of them.
  7. Yea I mean a crescendo 3500 will probubly put out around 4k at .5 ohm. I trust crescendo to put out the claimed power over Soundstream. I might hear a difference in clarity. And also I like the idea of 1 amp pushing both for space and not having an issue with them being uneven from one sub to the other. Should work out ok
  8. Very clean looking box n sub
  9. i was just messing with torres and if i give myself about double the port are..from .45 to .90 or so..it will lower the cuft from 6.01 to 5.61..and bring my tuning from 32 to 37
  10. i think i can still use the boxes but make the ports bigger but with 6cuft it will bring my tuning up with a bigger port right
  11. NAP...what the demintions on the ports
  12. so basically im choking the subs...damnn lol
  13. if I make the port bigger wouldn't it change the tuning?
  14. for 6 cuft box it said this was 32hz or so..good for daily... is this not right?
  15. no sure the ports are 5h 9w 14 deep....for 6cuft it would be 32hz or so..PSI said 32 was good for daily turros said
  16. ok. when I built it the calculator said that size would be 32hz or so. i can take the wall down easy and change the port are. what do you suggest?
  17. nadcicle....im running 2 PSI platform 2 18s 1800w rms per. on 1 Soundstream tx1.2000d each. 3 xs power batteries, 250amp alt. Wall built in a 98 GMC ext truck..ports and subs forward of course. ive been told its loud but I think over the past few moths since install I think im going def...maybe it just doesn't sound as loud as I was for that reason haaa
  18. Im currently running 2 18s on about 2000w rms each. I know most would put both in the same box but i built separate boxes. the boxes are bolted together and then I have it in a wall config. According to Turros box calculator I have about 6cuft each and the port is tuned to about 32hz...what can I do to get louder if anything. Also I don't think the soundstream amps are putting out 2000w rms. would a more efficient amp help too. maybe an better amp with about the same rms power as the subs (1800w rms) not to risk blowing my subs.... advice please
  19. I currently have 2 PSI pf2 18s (1800w rms)and 1 Soundstream tx1.2000 amp on each. It sounds ok but im not sure they put out 2000rms@1 like it says... I saw 1 guy on youtube try n test one with a clamp meter and regular meter and figured about 900-1000 watts. I realize there is impendance rise n stuff. Im thinking about going with a 1 Crescendo 3500 or 5500...anyone ever ran these amps?
  20. Yea dd1...forgot the name of it...heard good thing about em
