Subs been built since January and played so its good n broke in.

yeah i understand. i need ts params but i put the recone in so no one tested the specs. recone built by corey dean at spl audio and he told me the ts params were close to what they were from Fi but thats almost impossible with a different basket and spiders. i just have never ran anything bigger than 6.5 cubes and wondered would it make any sound difference.

Redoing port soon and need advice. Sub is a Fi Q18, 6 spoke basket, SPL audio recone, on under 1k. Port is 12" plastic pipe. I want it tuned at 29 and I can get there 2 ways. 1. 34" of pipe internal and 2" external giving me 8.08 cubes. And 2. 28" internal and 6" ext. giving me 8.48. How much would the extra .5 cube affect the sub. (Fi recommends up to 10 cubes for 1 Q18)

Wassup guys I'm doing a port swap in the next few days and trying to get opinions/suggestions. I have a box 39.5h x 41.5w x 13.5" d (outer dimensions) with a port 12h x 10w x 40" l which gives me 6.8 cubes tuned at 31hz with 17.75 port per cube. It's just not giving me as much pressure I want on lows. The new port is 12" o.d. Pvc (11.5" I.d.) x 36" l with 2-4" external. This will give me about 8 cubes tuned at 29 with 14.25 p.p.c. I don't have anything to lose, and I'm not building a new box until I design a 6th. So what are your thoughts on what I have now?

Yeah i have about 15-18 cubes to play with. And i ive heard guys say they are more 6th order friendly than 4th but idk.

I have a Fi Q motor with cooling option with a 6 spoke 18 basket, single layer nomex spiders, tall roll surround, and dual 2. Recone made by spl audio. I have it in a box thats 39.75x 42.5 x 13.5 with a 10"x12"X42" portThe sub and port are both forward firing. I can tell the port needs to be shrunk but i was thinking of doing a 6th for it instead. Any ideas?

Yeah thinking about just buying a hds2 sub and building a 4th for it.

Yeah well its either 40hz q 18 or $500 to rebuild 2 w6s into 8s or 10s. Trying to go the wasier route first

I have a custom 2013 Q motor with a 6 spoke 18" basket and spl audio recone. I had it in 6 cubes tuned at 32 and it sounded great but i have to make space for my daughter. I was wonderingb could i put it in a box thats 22"x22"x22" with the sub inverted? Tuned to like 40hz? External ports
