  1. Know a lot of military buddies that died doing stuff like this on public road. Definitely not my thing...
  2. So... DCON's it is.National back order And? I'd rather wait for DCON's than go buy a Kicker. lol I love ssa and their subs, but comments like this and the way you guys hate "mainstream" brands is petty. I dunno man, I still like a lot of stuff Fosgate makes, besides their price point. There's actually a fair amount of "mainstream" brands that have some good stuff. Kicker to me just hasn't been one of them in 15 years.
  3. Hey guys, so my dad really wants an Image Dynamics 12 for Father's Day and I want to build him a box for it. It's going in a Honda CRX, and I want to try and load it off the rear hatch. I just need a simple sealed design and cut sheet. He's got 35"s between the two shock mount plastic panels and 28" from the open storage box to the back so space isn't an issue whatsoever, especially for a sealed box. Only thing important is that I want it fairly close to the 35" across so I can mount it right behind the storage tray angled back to the hatch class. Any help? Thanks a lot guys, and here are all parameters you might need http://www.imagedynamicsusa.net/files/59633398.pdf
  4. Lol the board looks great and the shape is nice, but the flame cover... ugh that thing is rough LOL.
  5. It's an old A2300HCT. It is literally the ugliest amplifier I have ever seen. LOL, but our shop has a good relationship with quite a few different auto shops around us, so I'm going to have it powder coated. The top cover is God Awful so I'm just going to cut out for a 200mm fan and the dials into a piece of plexi and mount it to cover her up. 6. No not yet, audio plans have completely changed on the build for sure. Have no clue what I plan on doing for subs at the moment. I'm trying to come up with ideas.
  7. Not sure if anyone is really interested, but I got this today. It was a service drop off, we repaired the RCA inputs and the customer never came back. So it's going home with me. I've got some connections who can do a little something for me so we're going to cut a plexiglass sheet for the front and cut outs for the display and the fans, probably going to upgrade the fans and get the whole thing powdercoated.
  8. Those are sex. Saving my pennies.
  9. Literally LOL'd
  10. So... bored at work, went perusing through old stuff, and holy shit what happened to this guy? That's a woodworker right there. I love these boxes he does. Man Thump if you're out there. I would drive 17 hours from Sacramento just to see this work in action.
  11. Fuck Sonic Electronix. They make it damn hard to make a living for everybody.
  12. DAMN, didn't mean to start a war. Lol, however I really would not mind heading up to Minnesota or at least shooting some shit on the phone with Sean. You are a sharp dude, and I would really like to pick your brain and hear some recommendations from you for my personal project without any interference. Possibly e-mail?

  14. All interesting. I tend to follow what ever Brad says lol, but I'll be doing some research.
  15. I love this Third Eye Open album.
  16. I guess I'm just trying to make sure my front stage can keep up with the substage, as well as integrating a DSP into the system. I don't want it to sound like shit, but I have heard a few systems that lack everything but bass running decent amplified component sets. I'll just be researching more until it's time to pull the trigger.
  17. I'm open to anyone's knowledge being dropped. I'm not pretending to know more than anyone, just interested in why some people swear by pro audio and some hate on it.
  18. I guess I'm confused as to what your definition of loud is. 2 12's in the trunk should be plenty loud. I realize that I will lose a lot with it being a trunk, but it should be a fairly loud system that isn't anything forgettable. I'm not going to be running in the 150 db range lol, but that's not really my goal. I see plenty of people running pro audio without many complaints. The car will be tuned by Terry Soohoo so I know everything will be as good as it can be.
  19. I might go that way, but to quote Sean, there's no point in running active if you're using components. I will definitely be running active with a DSP, that's not really something I'm willing to change. I'll look into it more though.
  20. Plans for my car are pro audio woofers and tweeters in the doors, RF 360.3,RA, Draconia to run front stage, pair of DR's in the trunk with 2 Minotaurs running subs.
  21. Spoke with Nick @ IA this morning. Customer service there never ceases to amaze. Anyway, got wind of some pro audio woofers coming. I can't say when, but I'm pretty stoked. Also a new Flatlyne coming. I'm glad they're branching out and expanding as a company. Congratulations IA! Now send me 2 of the new DR 12's, and 2 of the Pro Woofers. LOL
  22. Hahaha thanks Aaron. I saw that it's fairly small in comparison the EQ sizes. I didn't want to, but it looks like I'll be cutting up some ABS to get a nice clean look in the Cad.
  23. You are a wolf my friend.... LOL thanks ricksi. As far as the topic of this thread... you don't know more than Sean and Brad, and you probably never will. These are my go to problem solvers and their knowledge BAFFLES me. Don't bother arguing with them unless you seriously, seriously know your shit. Sean says
