  1. What a bunch of horse shit. I carried an AR at a young age. Uncle Sam stuck one in my hand, with some proper training, they're a very enjoyable firearm. Ammunition is cheap, they're reliable, and parts are easily obtained. DPMS makes great entry level AR-15's. Definitely take the advice given regarding lurking around the forums, tons of good information on there. A firearm is nothing but a tool in the hands of a responsible adult. What type of firearm it is makes absolutely no difference in its function. It is a tool and should be respected.
  2. They were really great but I had to sell them. Found out we're having a baby. The big plans will have to go on hold. Probably just going to be ordering some Fosgate components and Fosgate amps since I can get them for dirt.
  3. External RCA interfacing. This is for a 2008 but I'm thinking that is the same generation. 2 sets of pre-outs for a factory system. http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=560&CategoryID=28
  4. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=What+is+canbus%3F
  5. Word, happy birthday man!
  6. Yea tirefyr I didn't feel like going through all that with OP just trying to find him a part. Lol
  7. We're using the stock head unit I assume? If so http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=548&CategoryID=28
  8. It's harmless banter and it's over with, oh well. So what's the specs on the car? Did you want to know what canbus works?
  9. It's probably just as you were told. Hot goes cold while engine is running. I would check wiring and consider using a factory integrated CANBUS. If you give me the year, make, model, and sound system type I can usually find you the PAC part. Edit: Also try not to be an ass when you're looking for help. No wonder everyone gets jaded and annoyed. I've found Quentin's information in other threads to be EXTREMELY helpful, so he's not really the bridge I'd choose to burn.
  10. SO SEXY for pro front stage. Damn wish I had that paper, someone scoop!
  11. Sketchy post is sketchy.
  12. Type it torres box calc in google and then it should be the first link on the s m d forum I try to avoid that forum at all costs but it looks like that was the winner. iFail. Thanks
  13. Anyone have a link where to DL torres? I saw one on DownSouth Bass or something and it didn't work.
  14. I'll be putting that same setup in this week, except the 7" mid. I'll update you as soon as I get it in. Oh nice let me know, I'd really appreciate that.
  15. Hmm... well I might try and run Helix Competition Midbass drivers with them. I can get a pretty good deal on them and that's at least using some of the brands I'm trying to show. Thanks bro.
  16. Thanks for the help bro I appreciate it. Right now I'm looking at making a pair of Dayton Audio RS150-4 6" Reference Woofers (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-372) fit the door stock location. Should just need some baffles. Til then I'll be browsing some possible tweeters. I'd like to stick with Daytons if I can. I'm open to any suggestions, I've just used Dayton's subwoofers before and they seem to be pretty great drivers. Edit: Added link to woofers, and possible Tweeter Choice http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=275-140
  17. Good option for the doors? Stock location. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=290-216
  18. ^^ I love this cat. Was going to be fiberglassing mid bass into the door and putting tweeters in the A Pillars. Car is a 1988 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz if that's any help. This is a stock photo of the interior, just different color. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/images/0016/96/96/16196969_large.jpg
  19. Is that Samwell Tarly with the camera? http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRZn-KFWiMX7JDaY2N-nTzl7aYEG7TIdtzRZLX9gf20W9utGIZo
  20. Good people.
  21. I'd be running components without the crossovers. Reason being my brands to use are limited. Helix, Audison, JL, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Brax (LOL can't afford that shit). They aren't some super incredible pieces (the Carvers), I'm just a big fan of those specific amplifiers and I'm getting them in a trade. I love me some old school car stereo. I'd rather run active, probably using an Audison bitOne. Edit: Looking like accommodation on the Helix Comp 3 ways are a little too pricy for my project so I'll be running the Comp 2 ways unless someone has a better option. Price range is around $500 for front stage.
  22. All the old guys in here will recognize the old beauties, I scored a Carver M-2060 and an M-4060. Running in perfect shape and loving every second of looking at them. Will be installing soon, but I'm trying to decide whether or not to run both amps to an active 3 way setup, or should I just run 2 way and use the 2 channel for my other car's front stage (passive), any opinions? Plans are a pair of DP 12's or 15's in the trunk of an 88 Cadillac Eldorado. Front stage is what I'm trying to decide on. Probably looking at Helix's 2 or 3 way Competition Series Components.
  23. If you listen to your iPod, these are a great inexpensive solution. We sell a lot of these to people who don't use CD's at all and motorcycles and they're all the features of a good deck for $100. http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/ute-42bt/
  24. Wow going to be rad.
