Good feedback and results! I think the best test will be 4 40.1's vs 4 7kw's! When the 40.1 came to be it was a market that need to run 4 amps off one battery. Street B - 4 amps 1 batt. Street C - 8 amps 2 batts. SM 1-2 - 4 amps 1 batt. SM 3-4 - 8 amps 2 batts.

I currently own 3 of them and I will tell you that they are some of the finest woofers I have ever had the pleasure of using. The thing I love about them is they not only have the ability to get stupid loud, but they are actually quite musical for woofers that are geared more towards SPL. The transient response that they have in my car is absolutely astounding. More over, I had my new setup in my car for one day and I cracked the piss out the windshield. Very stout woofers indeed. Glad you like it! It's very tough stuff! We do alot of SPL testing and so far accelerator is always the best bet over letting it cure on its own.

No, they aren't in production anymore, as we stopped awhile back. Look for new models to replace them soon! 1/2 ohm power is based on imp rise, normal power at 14.4 is 4400-5000. Thanks, Nick
