Help W/Silk dome tweeter sound
So I have installed a set of Sundown-cs6.5 and running off a ppi 900.4 in my car and have found that the tweeters are almost too harsh. From what I have read this is a characteristic of this style. I have made adjustments to my current amplifier and have not found a way to help with this. Looking for advice on helping me tune these in. Or if there are other options some help in a direction it would be appreciated. very new to this i have just been tuning with my ear. I also understand everyone hears differently before M5 starts bashing me for this.

Pontiac G6 with 2 Ethos 18's
it doesn't hurt to gound to the front as well as in the back. It is a personel preferance. I did. make sure you remove paint or debri where your connection is at. This will help to ensure proper contact with less resistance. this is if you haven't already.

Pontiac G6 with 2 Ethos 18's
Your enclosure looks great!!!!!!!!!!!! I built my first box last year. I built something similar. I will suggest adding more support vertically due to the fact these boards are larger and more space between connections. I did not do this either and the top of my box vibrates. Which intern makes it less efficient. Just thought I would share. Might help for future builds. ONCE AGAIN NICE JOB ON YOUR BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Center Port for Zcon
So I am designing a new enclosure and this one will have a center port. I have concerns with my port width when it reaches the rear of the enclosure. This is for 2-Zcon 12's,SAZ3500 power, currently box will be at a net volume roughly 7.8 cubes tuned at 32 the distance from the port wall to the flare is 4.33 inches if you cant read the photo Since it is in the center do I need to maintain the same width(in my case 6.5inches)? Is there a rule of thumb for this? Here is a pic of what I currently have designed.

FINALLY! Last installment made!

I have been messing around with WINISD for the past day or so. Trying to model my 12" Zcons and follow what these graphs are telling me. 1. When I enter the parameters using the autofill for some of them my graph peaks at around 100hz even though my box tuning is much lower. Why is this? Can someone help this NEWB to understand what I have done in error. 2. Also if I enter the paramters of the web site it gives me error messages saying they are incorrect. If I let it autofill some of them then it will graph. Any explanantion why this is? Thanks in advance.- Team IAK IronMan Explorer
can you tell me the differances with the areo port vs your previous box, 1. tuning 2. port area 3. any other impressions 4. why the change- chevy ext cab zcons
nice stuff there. love my 12 zcons cant imagine the 18's. looking forward to your install- 2 12" zcons 4-6k trunk wall
Definately interested in what you find. I found that 6 cubes seemed to be best for the my 2 12's. I forgot what you ended up finding out? I am building new enclosure come spring hopefully.- 2 12" zcons 4-6k trunk wall
Those dimensions are close to what I built with my square port 80in port area. Tune to 32 originally. Wasn't musical enough for me wouldn't play more dubstep style music which is most of my listening. But also struggled on the lows(28hz and down but I believe they needed more space after some tips from this forum. I am interested to hear your results from the round port. I was thinking along the same path but was told to go to a 8in port to be able to play more range. Thoughts????- 8 ssa zcon 15's, 4 nendo 5500's and 20 Xs power d1600's
for polishing you if you have 6 inch grinder you can get polishing pads for it which would make you polishing much easier. or look at a scotch brite pad for the 6 inch pedestal grinder. it could be less time consuming- power system setup ?
You haven't stated you whether you have the big3 done. Just want to check. This helps As well- 8 ssa zcon 15's, 4 nendo 5500's and 20 Xs power d1600's
