is this a good price for a ported 15'' subwoofer box
Pro-rabbit how much for designs? I could measure my trunk area. Theres a car care center here. They actually have a class tomorrow. I am unsure if what tools are avaliable there. I have tools but nothing to build a box with. I could also go to the local lumber shops here for mdf/ or birch. I wouldnt mind building it myself, but i was recommended that i have it built by a "pro" fuels my fire. Hate when people tell me i shouldnt do something. But i guess its so i dont overspend on a box build if i mess it up

is this a good price for a ported 15'' subwoofer box
OK so as you guys know im overseas in germany right now. i went to a local car shop today and asked how much it would cost to build me a box for my Massive Audio DMX stg2 subwoofer and he quoted me 150-200 euros which is about $200-$300 for this build. the box would be made of MDF and will be carpeted. i asked about bracing and if he could build it in birch instead he didnt know what that was. the language barrier owns me and this guy. I asked him if i got the materials if he could build the sub and he said yes. so theres an option. I hear Birch is stronger and lighter, but harder to cut and you have to prep and sand the area, blah blah. anyway is this a good deal? I was recommended the box be 3 cubic feet at 33 Hz or 3.5 cubic feet at 35Hz. sub will be pushed with 1500-2000 watts rms for a daily. the guy at the shop wanted specs of the subwoofer. but i told him what my recommendations were and he said he needed specs for the builder to build it. specs are below i cant really find box specs for this subwoofer. says on the massiveaudio site to call for box specs. this will be going in a 2000 toyota camry LE https://www.massiveaudio.com/store/product.php?productid=16153&cat=265&page=1 any help on a box would be great.

Question about big 3
Ive searched ca.com ive searched here a little bit and i even asked a dedicated forum for my car but i have a 2000 toyota camry with a 2.2l and im trying to do the big 3 on it. But with all the wires in wire loom and such However doing it is alot harder than my s10. So my question is can i just add 0gauge wire and not mess with the stock wiring? Or is this a no go? Reason i thought i could do it is becauase i see alot of you guys run multiple strands on 0 gauge instead of just one strand. Any help would be great.

2003 Camry sitting too low
not sure how the suspension is on the toyota, has anyone looked up a spacer for the spring by chance? maybe like a leveling kit like the lifted trucks have? if you went air suspension you wouldnt regret it. My s10 is bagged and i love it. only thing i would do different is instead of the 1/2 SMC valves id switch it all out for a accuair setup

looking to get a good headunit pioneer preferred *used*
Whoa!!! Those Pioneer Deh-80prs are pretty nice. I had one pioneer deck when i had my first car and i loved it. It wasnt anything fancy it lasted a long time 3 years then sold it to a friend for $10 and its still going strong today. I always thought alpine was top notch because my brother owned several but these pioneers are pretty nice.

Should I buy audio equipment in germany?
Thankyou will do. I think I will stick to buying from america. 500 euro's for a 12 is a bit overpriced. Its a nice subwoofer though.

Should I buy audio equipment in germany?
Alrighty. so after work at 1700 I had the chance to go to a local shop called cool cars here in bamberg, germany. folks there are nice and the guy I was talking to seemed pretty smart on the audio scene. Language barrier sucked though. I asked him what the top of the line subwoofer he had in stock and he directed me to a Helix SPXL 12' at first I was like "meh" but then he was like wait let me pick it up for you. as soon as I saw the whole sub it looks like a beast in person. the guy explained its got a 4 inch voice coil. the thing looked very well built. the price was kinda steep though. 499 euro out the door no taxes. for just one... holy smokes thats expensive. I managed to find some specs on the subwoofer though for those intrested. pictures are online. I took two pictures of it. but it doesnt really show its size. Im not really that knowledgeable with subs in gerneral. but this one is nice. opinions very much welcomed. he also said rainbow, gladen, GL were pretty common, and good subs, amps. they also said they could get anything from america here. the shop had alpine HU, and some cadence amps, and DD subs. but If it comes to that I will just order it myself to save shipping costs. The weekend starts early for me tomorrow so I shall see if I can find another audio store near or around me. also adrian D are you in germany? also hope i dont get warned about the sub i posted. Im just really curious on this subwoofer. Im not advertizing this subwoofer in any way, shape, form. Should I buy audio equipment in germany?
I Wasn't sure where to stick this, so I thought this would be the best place. Admins please feel free to move if need be. Im wanting to buy some audio equipment when my tax return comes in. Maybe 3 12's or a big 15, and a nice sized amp to power them to 1,500Watts. Problem is Im overseas in germany for the army and im guessing shipping would he outragous for a nice stereo setup from the states. Ive google searched and found some audio places local to me that Im going to check out this weekend to see what they have. and theres even a "home depot" like store down the street to where i can buy MDF board (knock on wood *pun intended*, ive only seen the place havent had the chance to go in just passed by on patrol one night) what do you guys think? Should I take the plunge and see what these germany audio companys have to offer? Or is the US the ones who do it bigger, louder, better than these foreigners?

Leviathan III VDRV Light? (And first impression)
My brother always used ZED powered amps now i know why. He always talked very fond of these amps. The guy who builds these must be very well known. The ZED amps are way past my time but i wouldnt mind getting my hands on one just to see what it can do.
