  1. What About The Sundown Audio SAZ 3000D ? Why do you want to run at 0.5? You will need a SICK electrical system to run a 3000D. Yes the 3000D will do it, but if you DON'T have the charging system you may fry it. In which case you've voided the warranty and you're shit out of luck.
  2. http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/DD_woofers.asp?series=Z Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe someone was burping one of these with 36,000watts. I like the non-serious write-up they did for that sub. Especially the part that says that they tried to make a machine that would measure how many watts the sub makes but they couldn't do it, so it must make a lot. haha, definitely a play on all the morons who say their subs make or push power.

I don't think those are made for daily. They aren't, but that wasn't part of his question. You ask a vague one, expect a vague answer!

Half of the kids I know with systems talk about how they're Xplods can push 1600w. Drives me ABSOLUTELY insane.
  5. I never have. I haven't.
  6. what is a widow or screen door bracing? i've never heard of that. (so i know what not to do, thanks thumper) also, is it worth putting the corner pieces in, like you do in your builds? and does it have to be at a nice 45 degree angle and perfectly square in the corner? This is a picture of window bracing to give you a visual.

    You want a BL.
  8. I built my box to 2.3^3 ft. tuned to 32Hz. It sounded good.
  9. Does the italicized name mean that someone is in the process of posting? Yes. Hold the cursor over the name Oh. Thanks!

I've been planning my system since August and I've only bought 2 amps so far....

Mmm thats good who's Jacob Jacob Fuller, the owner of Sundown Audio. That is a good deal for the box and sub (BL). If you don't end up going with that, perhaps start a topic stating your goals, space, budget, and listening preferences. There is A LOT more to a loud setup than just "XMILLION WATTS!!!11." (Look at the guy hitting 145.xx with a single 8" sub in his blazer.) I personally would be happy to help you out on a fresh idea. Perhaps i should just get all my moneys together. Sell my mistakes and ask you guys for help with my Sub and Amp Now you're using your head.

  14. I just ordered a 12" Q. Ordered yesterday and confirmed the same day.
  15. BigJon did a direct swap from BL's to Nightshades (15" model). I believe he said the 'shades are louder, but the BL's more musical. So for what you want, I'd personally recommend Nightshades.
  16. If you're concerned with the homework you have now, wait until you get to a college. If you plan on going.*
  17. Can The Audio Que Amps Run Ok With .5 Ohm Load ? Is It Safe ? I Looked At The Diagram you provieded NO way in hell I would trust an AQ to run at 0.5. Possible, probably. Risky, definitely.
  18. Hell, at this point I'll throw this your way too. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp
  19. Correct. Two subs to a 1 ohm load = D1 coils One sub to a 1 ohm load = D2 coils. END.

  21. I'd go with a large, low tuned, ported box. http://www.diysubwoofers.org/prt/ported5.htm
  22. I think there is a huge difference between "wh0ring it up" and being a annoying forum menace.

  24. This is more of what I was asking about. Conversing in the IHOP is great, but clicking the post button as many times as possible I just don't get. I finished my whole install without posting once. There is enough information floating around that there shouldn't be half the dumb questions that there are. I've been trolling 3 different forums for a couple months now learning how to fiberglass. I've only posted once, but for the most part, ALL of the information is there. I seriously think there should be a "meeting" to discuss a little lengthier new member process. Even appoint a small committee to take care of new member activation and registration.
