Ttocs, I feel like I know that name. Have you been on any car audio forums previously? My memory points to one on ezboard perhaps?

New system sounds like crap. help
If you swapped amps and it was fine, the problem is likely your amp.

sub placement question.
No, it doesn't matter.

will this box work?
my winISD says that you need a port 56" long. That will yield you a 4.8 cubic foot net box after the 3.56 cubes that the port displaces and .25 cubes for the two subs. Your box is 8.6 cubes gross. hmm, the RE calculator is quite a bit off from my calculations. I'll have to check. The differences lie in that the RE calculator doesn't take two things into account, one being sub displacement, and the other being the thickness of the wood used as the port wall. It assumes zero for sub displacement and that the port wall is also zero. However, sub displacement, as I figured, was .25 cubes, and the port wall also displaces about .25 cube using 3/4" wood.

I got all six Star Wars after winning a bet with my brother, and the gf and I watched Episodes 1 through 3 between Friday and yesterday. Now time for the better episodes, though we lose Natalie Portman.

I haven't made it to the driving rage yet. After the last time I played(Oct 6), I don't have any real ambition to play. I was duck hooking the ball and for someone that normally slices it, it was flustering. I seemed to fix my problem yesterday! I realized that I was tucking my right elbow into or even inside of my hip on my swing. So I made the conscious effort to try and keep it out, and it worked wonders. Also trying to make my right arm do more work pushing the club because I tend to just pull the club through with my left arm, which not only kills distance but oftentimes opens the club face due to the dragging and causes a slice. But I found that this fix not only helped the straightness, but I also picked the ball up off of the ground a lot better. I've always had problems with just skimming the ball along the ground, but I got it into the air basically every time. So point is, I think a lot of problems like these are a product of uneven force by both arms. That or rolling the wrists over too much (draw) or not at all (slice). It is actually since you are supposed to fish and not golf Haha. Yeah, my cast is better than my swing I'm sure.

I was out enjoying the wonderful weather today! Got the mower blade sharpened, the mower cleaned up, and the oil changed. I pressure washed the porch and hung out with Dad for the rest of the day. I'm poooooped. The weather here was amazing yesterday. 68 degrees, partly cloudy, no wind. So incredible. Too bad I didn't take advantage of it. We went to the casino instead last night. After 2.5 hours of playing slots and then roulette, I was up 10 bucks. But apparently I wasn't happy enough and wanted to continue to play roulette. My +10 turned into -70 before I finally lost all of my credits on roulette and quit.

I just look at the top of the ball.

what are the lowpass and subsonic crossover settings at? If you have a head unit with highpass crossovers for the front and rear speakers and use either of those preouts for the sub, it'll transfer that highpassed signal to the amp, thus cutting the signal for the subs.
-
how to tell if your subs are going?
your amp may be going the way of broken. What is it?

He may have chosen the wrong subwoofer if that is his goal.- Welcome to the IHoP

Going to the driving range. Gotta try to get my woods working, and maybe blow off a little steam. Yeah I know, it's probably not like shooting a gun.- Welcome to the IHoP
If/when I get married I am most likely only going to wear the ring on special occasions. I can't stand jewelry, especially rings. They just irritate me. I never wear a watch either. Glad you aren't too mangled though Sean. You actually had a diamond in your band? Don't see very many dudes with that.- Welcome to the IHoP
My dad almost had his arm ripped off when his shirt sleeve got caught in a grain auger. Luckily the shirt just ripped off and he only had a few cuts and bruises. My stepdad had a finger torn off when it got caught in a chain in a hay baler. Farm accidents happen.- Welcome to the IHoP
The thread or the forum? The forum is for audio, the thread is for random bs'ing between members. It always irks me when people don't know the difference between a thread and a forum, calling each thread a forum.- Welcome to the IHoP
Asia is one thing. I far too often find my self in line with what was said earlier by Sean. The EU now has a new head. The last idiot was horrible. The new EU head has the chance to take over. I'm not concerned with China or russia, nothing even close. I have not been to China, but what I have heard from people I know who have been and have family there, they are just now barely breaking into being industrial, much less information aged. They sure can reverse enginear things, but they are a reactive culture, and government. Local power is huge but it's not as global as most think. Fawk I could be wrong.... who knows. I love the discussion though. Matt when your looking for your 3rd world country to live, I suggest Thailand. Close to so much natural beauty. Many other wonders are local too. I would kill to see Angkor, some of the temples in china and the Taj. I'm sure I'm probably wrong. On all of this, for that matter. I don't have an interest in government, really, just read or hear quips every now and then if some headline is interesting, so I'm sure all of you know more than I do. I don't care so I don't really pay attention, which is probably why I think it's fine.- Welcome to the IHoP
After working long hours tuesday and wednesday I was excited because I'd get today off. Then yesterday at work happened and it totally killed it. Such a crappy day, I felt like a worthless employee. It was like no matter how much I thought through something and was confident in my result, it was the exact opposite of what I should have done.- whut way should I face my fi bl 18s ?
