Welcome to the IHoP
Very nice. It could do a little better on the lows, 35 hz and down, but that may just be because I'm used to a ported 15.

re sx sub
The sub doesn't push any power. Other than that, it'll work.

help me
wow that port calculator, while nice, is very liberal. It said I would have needed 80 sq. inches for my 15" SI D2. I built my box with about 45 and it was fine.

Fi BL 18 inch
Here's one: 8 cubic feet (after port and sub displacement), 80 sq. inches of port, 19" long. that gives you 32 hz. port displacement- a little under 1 cube (dependent on how you make it, of course), sub displacement- 0.23. So make it about 9.2 cubes total. 22.5" long port gives you a tune of 30 hz. I'll let you figure out displacement if you do that.

Blown Fi 15" Q
No, it doesn't mean that. The amp is rated for 1600 watts. The sub- 1000. Even if the amp only did half of its rated power, 800 watts, a hard clip could double that, back to 1600, and still blow the sub.

I think that only happens if you bury it in the pet cemetary.

Welcome to the IHoP
So he says it's treatable but never reveals the treatment. Although it seems that he found out his own treatment by the end of the night- sticking your finger up there! Seems to work. Oh that reminds me of a story that one of my friends told (during supper at the dorms, no less). He said one of his high school buddies was dating the principal's daughter. One night he was doing her up the butt at her parents' house, in her dad's office. They were supposed to be away, but apparently came home early. The dad walks in, sees this happening, and throws up. Apparently the guy wanted to get one last thrust in after that happened, and apparently he hit a nerve (or whatever happened to that guy in the other story) and she had a....bowel movement. I bet that was weird.

Welcome to the IHoP
Are you the straight edge type that kicks the chit out of people that do drink and do drugs? NO!!!!! That would be mean. I am a nice guy, I help all the drunk/fudged up people get home safe. You'll feel good about yourself for doing it for a while, then you get bogged down because it just begins to feel like babysitting. It happened to me. I've never done drugs, never been drunk (though I have a whiskey and coke every couple weeks). I don't see a reason to lose control of myself. I guess I have no worries as bigjon puts it, but I live my life in attempt to avoid any worries. Granted I'm fortunate with such a good family. But that's another reason to not screw it up and disrespect by doing dumb things.

Welcome to the IHoP
It's just used to show them getting mentally prepared for the task at hand. That was their ritual before every boost. That's all I took from it too. No deep references there!

HELP NEEDED
ah but carpet has been the reason for air leaks for me in the past. Carpet is not a sealant, it has fibers. Also try taking the subs out of the box and playing them free air.

Hooking up two amps to one sub
960 watts is plenty for a Q. and get a separate amp to run the 6x8s.

Image Dynamics IDQ 31 question
I don't know about what they do on that particular processor, but you can get RCA to XLR adapters. I've gotten some at partsexpress.com.
