just build your box as you normally would. Then once you're all finished building it, slap another baffle on there. that won't interfere with internal box calculations at all.

Sorry to hear that man. Nothing is safe these days, even supposedly ultra-safe state jobs are being cut. I had a friend who spent 6 months in Israel on the program Godsmack was talking about. Wouldn't want to be there now, obviously, but a couple years ago he got a beachfront house on the Med for free too while he was there.

what notes were your box missing but the others would hit? Were their boxes sealed or ported?

You may want to put them into a speaker program, like winISD, to see how their frequency responses vary in that box. While it won't translate exactly to a car environment, you will at least know how they react to that box size relative to each other. Perhaps one has a flatter response curve, or one rolls off quicker at the low end, etc., that you might want to see to help your decision.

A box isn't really that hard. You just need to have a good saw, a jig saw or router to cut the sub holes, maybe some long clamps to hold the glued sides together, and/or a drill or nailgun to put screws or nails in to hold them together while the glue dries. Most of the messing up happens in the planning stages.

The low note in "Put On" is pretty low, I'm thinking low 20's. Most ported boxes in car audio will have trouble with it, especially if you have a subsonic filter on. As for the discrepancy in tuning, make sure you took out port and sub displacement from the box size when calculating.

Why is KU getting no respect in the polls? Sure they lost to a 100-200 RPI team (UMass), but so have 4-5 teams ahead of them. Plus KU has a higher RPI than about 10 teams in front of them. and KU is 5-2 against top 50 RPI teams. So I don't really know why their RPI is only 35 anyways.

no, please do not just use electrical tape to hold power wire together. Your best bet may be to solder it together and then heat shrink wrap it (perhaps multiple times to get the insulation thickness higher). Or you can use that break for a distribution block spot if you have other amps.

yikes, you really need to put that next to the battery. That fuse is to protect the wire. If your wire shorts out somewhere between the battery and the backseat, what happens? Your car burns down. Having the fuse back there really doesn't do any good. As for the terminal.......just crimp it better? I've never had a problem I guess. Try getting some ring terminals that have a split down the wire crimp end. When you crimp it, only half of the terminal crimps onto the wire at a time with that, so it's not so hard to apply more pressure and get it tight.

no. I don't really like that suggestion of a certain amount of port per cubic foot, because the amount of port needed really depends on the displacement the driver has. If you have a sub with only 5 mm of xmax, it's going to need a MUCH smaller port than one with 30 mm xmax. The size of the port needs to be relational to the amount of air that the sub will push. So, in order to really answer your question, you'll need to tell us what sub you will be using.

This was taken across a bay, I forget which one. We were closer to it when we took a 30 minute plane ride to the north to go salmon fishing in a river, but my camera batteries went out the day before . But that was pretty much the most spectacular thing I've ever seen. It was a clear day like in yours.

What is this fuse for, an amp without onboard fuses? Do you already have one right next to the battery under the hood? Can you give us pictures so that we can see what kind of a fuse holder you're dealing with here

But I do have to question the port firing into the trunk theory. Where did you hear that from, and how was it shown to be good? I can't really think of a reason why that would be good, because the waves coming out of the port would just go into the trunk and basically stay there. I don't think that orientation is optimal. If you put a ported box for two of those BTLs in your backseat it will be large enough to basically be a wall, so you may as well actually make one. Just make sure you secure it to the vehicle, that's a lot of mass coming at you in an accident if it's free.
