I guess you'll have to do that to me too. But it's because I don't want a concert in my car.

I just got passed by some middle aged lady and I guess her husband in the passenger seat. This wouldn't be newsworthy except that we were in a residential neighborhood and right in front of a school. And I was going 37 with the speed limit being 35. WTF is wrong with people, when did this become acceptable? What are you doing, trying to rush home to see the end of the Chiefs game? They f'ing suck, I guarantee they are losing. oh, yep, they are, 31-14 in the 4th.

If you find that it is the radiator, try putting some of that stop leak into it. It's only like 5 bucks. Mine had a real small lead up near the top and I wish I had at least tried the stop leak before the $800 new radiator. Some people I know have used it and it's been "fixed" for years. Hopefully it's just a loose hose though.
  5. somebody else had this idea on here a couple weeks/months ago. Try looking for it, I think there were some links for stuff.
  6. Do you mean the XTR Pros? I had some XTRs, both version 2 and version 3 I believe, and I don't think they were rated for more than 250 RMS. I thought the XTR Pros were 500 rms.

where have you been the last year? It's been in the news like a bagillion times. You never heard of that Red Sox fan working at building the new park that buried a red sox jersey under some concrete at the new Yankees stadium to try and curse it?

Just went golfing on a short 9 hole course. Everything was bogey or double bogey until the last hole, which I birdied. That's all I care about. Ended on a good note so that's all I'll remember! It was my first time playing this year so it wasn't too bad, and it showed because my ball striking got better with about every hole. Sloooow people in front of the people in front of me. I talked on the phone with my moms for 15 minutes with the hole I was about to tee off on completely open (nobody behind me either). And I still caught up with them on the next hole.

Curiosity is piqued. What do you mean by get one? "borrow" from the old lady down the street
  14. If you're not breaking the law you should have no problems and hardly even know they're there.
  15. My dad has an F-150 and an Expedition each with 150k and never had tranny problems. My Explorer has 165k and no tranny problems. As far as I know the Ford tranny problem was mainly with the Explorers and was fixed when they switched to Mazda trannies a few years ago.
  16. oh, funny guy, eh?
  17. If you're really bored or still just curious, may as well give it a try though. It doesn't need a big enclosure, probably .2-.3 cubes sealed will be plenty.

and apparently they make you dumber! Burn them all!
  19. I took out my factory 6x8s and traced them onto a piece of wood. Oversize the trace a tad. Then cut along that line with a jigsaw. Get your new 6.5" speaker and trace the cutout diameter of it into the middle of the wooden adapter. take your jigsaw and cut along that line. Now you have adapters that just need screw holes. I would recommend countersinking the screws that hold the adapter to the door or else you'll likely get the new speaker hitting the screw heads and not sealing to the wood properly.
  20. well......port area x port length will give you port volume. If the port area is the same on both, and the length is the same on both so that you achieve the same tune.....you have the same volume. But aero ports can be slightly less in total volume because the displacement of the plastic itself is less than the displacement of the board you use to make the slot port. Depending on the size of the port, obviously, you may save .1-.3 cubes by going aero.

Bullshit. That reminds me of a story the school's paper ran a few days ago, where they confused ethanol with biodiesel...we have how many chemical engineers on campus, and you can't get that right? I tend to agree with most of that article. I think raising crops of any kind for any kind of fuel is the wrong idea. Most of the world is already starting to starve for water, and the use of extra crops will just lead to more irrigation and faster depletion of the water sources. and I don't think wind is the answer either, as that depends on a variable input. I've always liked nuclear and solar power, although I knew solar was fairly inefficient. But if everybody would cover their roofs with solar panels I think that's enough to power the house. It's just normally cost prohibitive. Hydro is iffy. There are only so many places that we can put a dam. But doesn't the Hoover dam power all of Las Vegas plus some? That's quite a drain and that dam does a good job at that.
  23. ha well apparently we all see different things.

I like #6 ha yeah. But I found something crazy. My aunt and cousins lived in Delcambre, LA. My cousin played football on that flooded field in the one picture.

Worked 16 hours yesterday, so I get Friday off again! Too bad it should have been only a 13 hour day, but the stupid utility people didn't mark all the stuff beforehand as requested (Yes I did use the dig-safe line, called it in 5 working days before getting there). So we had to wait for 1.5 hours as the city sent out an electrical guy. Apparently he decided to take his hour lunch before coming out. Don't worry, it's not urgent. We didn't just drive 3 hours and have to drive that same amount back tonight or anything like that. Oh, but wait, here's the kicker: I told the city lady I needed WATER AND SEWER. WTF is an electrical guy doing here? The electrical company that has the business there did their job and marked it already. So we had to wait another 30 minutes for the water guy to come out. and even though it says Water/Wastewater on the side of his truck, he only does water. So we have to wait another 30 minutes for the wastewater crew to come out. 3 damn hours wasted for stuff that was supposed to be done before we got there. Three days before, in fact. Dumbest thing was the water guy sitting there just explaining to me where the line goes. "It goes down that ditch there, comes this way like this, then turns there and goes that way over there. Then on the other side it goes down that way there, comes in like this, turns thatta-way......" Stop talking and use your spray paint, fool. That is your job and legal responsibility.
