Welcome to the IHoP
Ran into that with a couple of friends from that hail storm we had earlier, bunch of bull chit is what it is. How about Progressive? I just switched to them from Farmer's and saved 400 per year. Farmers was pretty good, I only had one claim with them (when my stereo got stolen), and they did what every insurance company should do, I had no beefs. But 400 is a lot. It was weird seeing the breakdown of the where the premium comes from, though. With Farmers, about 280 was collision and comprehensive, whereas with Progressive it was only about 140 for those two. They were higher for bodily injury though. I am not a big fan of them either, although they are way better than Geico. Be careful to compare your coverage carefully, both are really keen on giving you less for less. Yeah I was wary of that as well. Everything stayed the same except bodily harm, which dropped from 100k/300k on my last insurance to 50k/150k on Progressive. But that's not a $200 difference in the premium, maybe $20.

Welcome to the IHoP
Worked 13 hours Tuesday and 12 hours yesterday in the field, so I get tomorrow off again! That's the third Friday in four weeks I've gotten off. I could get used to that. Too bad I don't get to go back into the field again until I get my new assignments first of October, so this is my last short week for probably at least 2 months. Now I just have to write reports and junk.

just got a lanzar opti4000d.. what do i do now?
why not just restrict the power output of the amp to what the SSD's can handle.
-
RE XXX seps
When I had a speaker cut out then had to crank the volume to get it to come back on, the amp was the problem.

Autotek 500.s
Can you tell us more about the system and what you want? Do you want two 12's and a 1500 watt amp, 6.5" components up front and an amp for them, etc.? $2500 is quite a large budget for things we can come up with.

Old School Amp Crossover HELP!
I think that's right too. You could get different cards designed for different frequencies and plug it in.

Where to start...
Thanks for that. I merely offered my perspective and personal experiences. If you'd read my post again you'll see that I credited Chevy for his expertise. I guess we should just all stop replying in threads and giving our opinions unless we are doing graduate work on the subject.

door speakers explorer
I have a '98 and I fit 6.5" comps in the door fairly easily with a 3/4" mdf adapter ring. I don't know where you'd put midbasses without cutting up the door a lot. Maybe kick panels (put mid and tweet in kick and midbass in the door)? You could put them in the rear doors but it won't sound as good as you'd like.

How Close ?
doesn't have to be too far. .5"

Active Settings Baseline
you have your mid HPF and LPF switched around.

Where to start...
I'd definitely start slow and work up. Not only is that huge amount of sudden stress bad for you, but you'll likely be really sore and achy and may lose motivation to go back for a while. A moderate amount of soreness actually feels good because you know you're improving and that you've accomplished something. It only takes me a time or two of going to the gym after a long layoff to start feeling more powerful and with a bounce in my step. Seeking the advice of a professional like Chevy350TPI said is a good idea. But some basics I think are good are to make sure and work your full body. Not necessarily all at once (though some people do, like the guys who were training for the movie 300), but over the course of your few times going to the gym per week, have all the muscles covered. Also, incorporate wider range exercises. Those that target only one specific muscle are fine and should be used, but you want to develop the tendons and ligaments just as much as the muscles, relatively speaking. As they all said, eating right is just as important as doing the exercises. fruits and vegetables are just as important as the protein. Also, try not to get discouraged as it will take time. I did a regimen last summer and gained about 10 lbs over about 2.5 months going 3-4 times a week. However, I'm also tall at 6'3", and it was hard to see it on me (went from 175 to 185). I really didn't look much bigger, but I did have more tone. So don't get discouraged by not being able to see it as much as you'd like. Although since you're more slim to begin with you might be able to see it better. I also have a fairly big bone structure that has to be filled out. Lastly, you'll likely have to eat more. If you aren't gaining weight right now it's because you're calorie intake equals your use. When you work out you'll be burning even more calories, too. Try and eat 5 smaller meals during the day instead of 3. That will keep your body with a better and more constant supply to repair and build with.

i went on a lil vacation.... lake house.
some nice looking rides, quite a few terribly ugly. I don't understand the point of all those subs in that guy's truck bed without a blow through. Does he do a lot of parties with it? more pics of chicks in bikinis!

Mid-bass Question
yeah you'll definitely want some kind of enclosure. If it's going under your back seats, sealed is probably your option (as opposed to IB). Just having a mounting board will make them play free air, which is pretty much the worst alignment for bass response.
-
wiring tweeters
you definitely want crossovers on your tweeters or they'll blow the first time you play music loudly. They won't like that bass. and the mids will probably not get too loud without the lower bass distorting them as well, and they may break up and sound bad in the high frequencies where the tweeter should play. So....long story short, that salesman told you some bad advice.
-
Need highs on my active set up
How low are you hoping to go with the tweeter? I wouldn't go above 2k with that L8, 1500 more preferably. What about horns? I'd definitely go sealed with the Q. 5 cubes sounds average.

Welcome to the IHoP
I did watch it. I actually rose my arms up and yelled when it showed the US won. I can't believe that guy made all that distance up. Shut up those darn Frenchies, that's for sure! Had a nice dream with Kim Kardashian and her ample bosoms last night.

Welcome to the IHoP
Did you download a file recently that was a virus? not to my knowledge. I could just close msn anyways, I never message on it anymore. I really only use it as a shortcut to get to my hotmail account.

Brahmas??
RIckRolled said he listened to them and they're really good. (just in case he doesn't see this or something) The owner of SI would not sacrifice quality just for shallower mounting depth. He reduced the line down to just a 12" so that he could focus more on it and make it the best possible. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

polk monitor series....floorstanders and centre....any good?
If I would guess I'd say it's just a fancy way of saying they're shielded.

Welcome to the IHoP
I don't know what I did, but all of a sudden i'm being bombarded with crap spam messages on my msn messenger. Woke up this morning and there were 8 trying to get me onto their singles website or check out their cam or something. where the f did I put my email address that would cause that? I'm pretty picky about where I give it out.

Know what sub is this ??
is it just me or does the surround looked warped? higher on the left in the picture then kinda dips down on the right? any shot of the cone? I didn't think the rli-8 uses a quad stacked motor. I'd think it's some big SPL-type, like Atomic or DD or something.
