I woke up at 6:30, as per custom, but I was like heck no and laid there for as long as it took to fall back asleep, which seemed like forever. Didn't wake up again till after 11 . I needed that, didn't get to bed till 1:30.

    mothertruckers.
  3. None of the newer SI lines would suit you at all. But if you could find a 15" Mag v.3, that would be something to consider IMO.

And I heard Levi Johnston is wanting a reality show, perhaps something like the bachelor with 40 women vying for his partnership. Come on. Who would want to date that high school dropout with a kid and all the drama around?

Got back yesterday from three days on the road in the field. The first day went fine, felt good after that one. But then the second day was a bummer. landowner had pushed around dirt so we couldn't get to where we wanted to sample, so we had to improvise and take fairly non-representative samples. Then one sample that should have taken 20 minutes took an hour and 40 minutes because of a 50-foot down-hole problem. So we're already two hours over my scheduled time for the site and I go to Dillons to ship my samples to the lab. Only their printer for the shipping label breaks, and I stand there for......wait for it.......45 minutes, as they try to fix it. That is a long time to be standing at the customer service counter in a grocery store. And even at the end they said you can just go and we'll let you know when we get this figured out and ship it for you. Yeah, you better. Then the groundwater at our site yesterday was just dumbfounding. It was so erratic and made no sense. Ended up taking an extra 2-3 hours at that site. But now I can relax. I have today off, so I get a 4 day weekend.

A-frickin-men. And I'm not even religious, so you know that means something.

Underlapping the mid and tweet is often a good idea. So maybe a crossover of 3500 for it, though that's just a starting point. The lower crossover you go the higher your slope will likely need to be. But I'd probably like to use the 18 db slope anyways. But these details also depend on the driver you choose.

Out of town for the next couple of days again. Gotta go back to SW Kansas. Kinda sucks, because the high for here tomorrow and Wednesday is like 75, which is perfect. But down there is supposed to be 90-91 both days. That'll make me sweat quite a bit. Not that I'm afraid of that, but who wouldn't rather work in 75*?

Yeah it was. Totally surprised he did that. In his defense he doesn't throw a block very often so maybe he didn't really know what to do in that split instant, but still.... Not sure what he was thinking. .

I'm a pretty big fan of Andre Johnson's. Great WR yet he's humble and keeps his mouth from spewing crap. They need more like him in the NFL. Or any sport, really.

He was a terrible person, and the government will likely be better off with him not there. No offense as to the reason for his departure. But I'm tired of the media playing him up like some hero when he did do all those bad things outlined in your post.
  14. The newer RE XXXs are lowend monsters. They'll shake the car for you.

Just make sure the new box size will be able to fit into the trunk opening. That's almost always the limiting factor, not the actual space available in the trunk. Unless you want to build in the trunk, of course. I had a '91 olds cutlass supreme, which is the same body style as yours (though older version), and had about a 4.5 cubic foot gross box in there. It looked similar to how yours is sitting, and I had my amps mounted on the back (towards the rear bumper, sub was firing forward) and could still fit my golf clubs. However, that was the largest box I could fit in the opening.
  16. That way you have the ability to turn the sub down. If you set the gain with the level at 0 then increase the level to +6, you'll be clipping the amp.
  17. Smoked 'em, that's it. Tell him to be nicer to his next set.

A friend told me to try eharmony.com. Spent 30 minutes going through 20 pages of dumb and repetitive personality questions and ratings only to find out that you can't even see anybody's picture unless you've paid the membership fee. F that stupidness. There's a reason I put high priority for the question asking if sexual attractiveness was important to me. And I need to know if the girl is telling the truth when she puts "average" or "slender" body type. I'm going to kick my friend in the junk next time I see him. No I'm not proud to be shallow about body type, but physical fitness is important to me.
  19. Are you sure you will even increase power going with two? If the impedance to your one amp is optimized with the two subs, it won't be when you do one amp per sub.
  20. Put the bass boost at 0. That is an actual boost at a certain frequency that will likely do absolutely no good for your system, and increase the chance of harm. The sub level setting, however, adjusts the overall signal strength to the sub amplifier. When you set the gain you'll likely want this at +6. That way you can adjust the sub's volume relative to the rest of your interior speakers from the drivers seat. A bass knob that comes with an amplifier can either be a bass boost or a gain control. Bass boost is the same as the bass boost on the head unit, generally not a good idea to use at all. But the gain control is like the sub level setting on the head unit and adjusts the total signal strength. That is the appropriate control to use. If the shop set your gain with the bass boost all the way up, they did a terrible job.
  21. If you face the sub forwards then seal off behind the front baffle of the enclosure, not only will the sub have less volume inside the cab to pressurize (likely increasing SPL), but it should also drastically reduce trunk vibration.
  22. You can probably assume around .1 cubic foot for sub displacement. That'll change your tune a tad, but not noticeably. Doesn't really matter where you put the sub.
