  2. little update 2 runs of power and ground. i used scraps for this so i had to use a red for a ground as well so dont hate its a daily driver not a show car stock dual alts what do u know about that?
  3. little update. we managed to get the box in with 2 people. was a chore ill tell you that much. wouldnt fit through the opening of the back window of the topper so i had to try to hold the topper up while trying to pull the heavy ass box lol. either way box is in. box with gasket out box after gasket was glued back on keep in mind i only get to work on this after work which is like 2am so imagine how my neighbors feel when im hammering and cutting haha. i try to keep the garage door closed when im cutting and stuff
  4. accordion gasket installed
  5. top and bottom getting it square temp roof brace
  6. ok so today i spent most of the day waiting for the junk A$$ batteries for the cordless drill to charge because i was drilling through my baffle and through the steel braces to run bolts through. i didnt get much done. i have decided to take out all my box mods which did not help and go back to how it was at the beggining and will more than likely rip everything out and just finish the box after i get my number back above 162. did 2 bassraces today for fun with ok starts with the box mods and did a 159.6 and a 159.7 but the subs didnt like it. they smelled pretty bad. usually we can go a few runs with no smell at all but i took away alot of port area so thats why i think it doesnt like it. pics of the bolts through the baffle
  7. So all day today we have been trying box mods and different port lengths but we have not had any luck with getting a larger number so tomorrow we are gonna try some more mods and if it doesnt help we are going to just rip the mods out and go back to where we had it before and just finish the box as it is. also started finishing the rear doors just put some long and strong bodyfiller in it and havent grinded it down or anything. more than likely try to finish that up tomorrow. we are not allowed to test and tune the van during the day time hours untill 7pm because we get the cops called on us even though we have the doors shut at the shop and only doing burps. its VERY ghey and is going to make progress slow down but o well. a couple pics i know its not much but its slow progress while we test test test
  8. couple pix from the show. the last pic shows how eric was tryin to bassrace after his 12v constant went out up front in his van. so he couldnt even really see the screen to start thats why he started early. but it was a pretty nippy show MMM Hot chocolate!
  9. so basically we got there got the van off the trailer and started it up and watched our voltage drop???? come to find out the alt stopped working so we ran the whole day off dead batts. y ah we had the charger there on a 30 amp charge which isnt anything but still managed to pull some good numbers even though we didnt really try to hard. we did demo the crap out of it full tilt and got the subs smelling a few times but thats a mojo for u. how bout a few videos demo vid 160.3 on music in NSPL low voltage Bassrace 59.9 agianst eric he busts out because he was on the back of his van trying to bassrace because his headunit crapped out. but either way i had just got done demoing and seeing as i had no alternator my batteries were deader than crap. but o well i didnt even go full tilt for this run i was afraid id bust so i kept it low and watched it climb till the end then i turned it up a little bit. HAIR TRICK both doors open
  10. today is judgement day. hoping for the best expecting the worst since its the first competition for the season
  11. o yah i forgot to mention that 129 was done with the 2nd sensor on the ground beside the back tire
  12. k enough of the numbers back to some build pics the seats are bolted down as well. thats how we test cuz its more impressive to do numbers with seats in we think. but ill get pics of it tomorrow while we are working on it. we cut the seats down at the headrest because they were too tall and u couldnt sit comfortable because the top sub being inverted so we cut the seats down low enough so it would clear under the top sub. looks pretty good but we only have a seat cover on it to cover where we cut. eventually we will get the seats redone.
  13. how bout a little flex video too how about a 159.9 bassrace on tape we did a 160+ bassrace 10 times in a row just trying to get the 159.9 hahaha. man the mojos are SICK and seem to take anything u throw at them
  14. so we are getting some practice before the big first show for the van. put the carpet in, put the seats in. still using the song Break da law by Project Pat to bassrace with so far its the best song we have found. what do u guys think? is this a good bassrace score? ill post some pics of some of the work and how it looks a little bit later but keep in mind that was a test run. definetly very hard to get a 59.9 everytime when anything could happen with the ammount of equipment. it has done a 59.x everytime just so far only one solid 59.9 run.
  15. we are rolling on 4 total layers for the roof. or as many layers as possible depending on how much we have left of the stuff.
  16. rhinolined the roof with 2 layers so far. probably do another layer or 2 and call it complete
  17. k i upgraded to photobucket pro now so i can keep my pics up for you guys.
  18. well i tried to do an exact 159.9 today with the seats in but i still dont know where to start with the volume knob at the start but i busted out over a 160 3 sec in so i turned it up and was at a 161.7 but fell cuz part of the songs beat studdered for a sec or 2 and i ended up with a 160.2 should have a 161 or so in it if i start full tilt. i plan on going to the show this sunday in Ohio to compete in the 59.9 class so i can start getting my points for this season. u guys should come check it out.
  19. want me to be truthfull? it was a design flaw because we couldnt fit the subs in normal so we inverted them. but it was about the only way we could design it in order to keep the port big enough without having the rear subs firing directly at eachother. it doesnt make a difference how u mount them as long as u invert the polarity as well. it does obviously change the air space of the box.
  20. windshield barely moves suprisingly. im more worried about my doors and dash than i am with the windshield haha. 3 coils per amp. we had it 3 subs per 2 amps strapped but we rewired it like 50 times and ended up just doing 3 coils per amp. they gotta all be gain matched which isnt a problem. oh and we did manage 162.5 by adding a 3/4" birch headliner. even though its not all fiberglassed yet.
  21. DB DRAG 43hz 45hz BASSRACE bassrace run 2 bassrace run 3
