Ive heard alot about the efficiency of the btl's and my question is would a btl be louder than a bl in the same box with the same power?

I wouldn't be running that amp at half an ohm. I bet it doesn't last to much longer. Me and dj talked about it and he said that amp is more than capable of running at .5 ohm. I have ran it like this for almost a year now without ever having a problem. I was skeptical too but this amp is built like a brick wall lol.

I'm currently running a hdc 15 d1 on a aq 1200.1 @ .5 ohms. Not sure exactly how much power the sub is seeing but it is a pretty clean sounding sub. I would say its a mix...LOUD SOUND QUALITY. The aluminum coil on the other hand is more for spl. I heard two 15's on two kicker zx2500.1's and there was very little sound quality. Just depends on setup and install. By the way mine is in a 4 cu ft box tuned to 40hz.

I'm sure this sounds very noobish but I have never gad any experience with a sub that came with different options like the fi line. Can anyone tell me exactly what all the options do?

yeah, I was planning on running them at 2 ohms. Right now it seems like I have to push it into a clip to reach full output. I don't do this but it just seems that the sub could take alot more.

DJ at audioque has told me that the ahdc3's can take about 2000 daily.

what would be some advantages of adding the second amp?

I have an AQHDC315 d1. wired to a AQ 1200.1 at 0.5 ohms. I am thinking about getting a second 1200.1 and bridging them. The question is will making this upgrade be significantly louder to the ear. I know its hard to say because it always depends on box, setup, installation, etc. but I am just trying to get an idea.

My alpiine cd player has started to randomly cut off and come back on while playing. I can be goin down the road listening and all of a sudden it just turns off completely and then immediately comes back on. The equip is as follows: Alpine deck AQ 1200.1 amp AQ HDC315

I will soon be attempting my first recone. I am ordering a recone kit for my aq hdc315 d1 right now and when it arrives dj(aq's owner) told me to call him back and he would walk me through it step by step. For those who have done recones before any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! p.s. Just thought this was funny. I called two audioshops in nearby towns and asked the guy who answered the phone if any one there could do recones. Neither shop had ever even heard of reconing a speaker and the guy at the second shop thought I was trying to prank him because he had never heard of reconing or the brand audioque. Just can't believe these are the people getting payed to give the "expert advice" in my area.

In my old ranger my 2 solo x's rattled my back glass so bad that it broke the seals all the way around the window and it leaked horribly. Had to use a high grade epoxy to fix it because silicone wouldn't hold it at all. lol Never got the system metered.

The aq 2200 is a very solid amp and is definitely gonna be hard to beat price wise.

Not trying to jack your thread bt I'm curious about this also. If you use two separate alternators could the 16 volt just be a custom one wire alternator? For more simplistic installation.

Will that airspace work? I used aeroports so changing the tuning is no problem.

I am considering selling my Icon 15 and getting an audioque hdc3 15. Before I make a decision I would like to know if anyone knows the suggested airspace and tuning on the AQ's. My current box is 3.5 cu ft. tuned to 30 hz. Will that work for the aq also? Also I would like to hear some opinions on trading the subs out because I have gotten very curious about aq after I got m aq 1200.1 and saw the quality of their products. My main goal is to be loud daily.

Thanks man. Thats why I asked about it here so I could get an honest opinion without him putting in his .02. As soon as I sell my other truck I am probably gonna buy the arc audio or the audioque. Although I am still searching the internet high and low for another kx 1200.1 or a sundown sae 1000 used in my price range. p.s. Why you gotta use the "noob" word on me man lol jk? Does anyone have any experience with a Digital Audio DHC2154? My only concern is can it do 1000 true rms at 1 ohm. I know its not a great amp but my kicker 1200.1 was stolen and I am trying to work through college and dont have alot of extra right now. A guy on realm of excursion offered it to me for $150 shipped. Is it worth it?
