  1. How would a single Icon 15 or RL-p 15 sound in 3 cubes vented? Would that sound clean? I can do up to 3 cubes.
  2. So do you all agree that the RL-i 10s ported would get louder than my previous Orion HP 12s sealed and also sound good?
  3. What I want is a pair of subs and my amp would underpower a pair of SSDs and it definitely isn't enough to power a pair of Qs.
  4. Either of these should give me the results I want. I need need help choosing one of the options. I want a pair of subs that'll get loud and sound clean with my amp. I like alot of types of music. I listen to stuff from bass CDs to rap to metal to rock to alternative ect. The Orions got loud and sounded clean but I know there's subs out that that could get louder with my amp and also sound good. To me my old W3D4 12s sealed with 500 watts sounded kick ass. They got loud and sounded musical while doing it. Not as loud as the Orions with the 1100 watts but do you get the idea of what I like now?
  5. I have a pair of Orion HP12s sealed in 1.2 cubes per chamber powered by a JBL 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2ohms and one of my Orions tore the surround recently and I'm trying to decide whether to get a replacement HP12 or upgrade. The Orions hit hard and clean. However I may upgrade if I could find an efficient pair of subs that could get louder and sound clean. The poll options are what I'm trying to decide between.
  6. How did you like them? What did you think of them?
  7. he used the word "hit" in his description of subs. IMO that means no IDQ, no w6v2, nowhere near an sq sub. He wants something that is peaky Ok, let me take hit out of there then, lol. I want a pair of subs that'll get loud and sound good. I'm really leaning towards a pair of Audiopulse Epic 12s sealed. I'de of gotten a pair of SS RL-i 12s if they were still available.
  8. I want a pair of subs that'll sound clean and hit hard sealed. As for my budget I'de spend up to like 280 per sub. I'm actually thinking of maybe a pair of JL Audio W3v3 13.5s.
  9. So then their not that efficient then huh. That confuses me a lil being there's a dude on Realm of Excursion.com pushing 6 of the SSD 10s with a 2500 watt Kicker amp. I guess that rules out the SSDs as an option being I don't want to get rid of my amp. Thanks for the info dude.
  10. I have a JBL 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. I have a pair of Orion HP12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each. The surround on one of them tore and I'm looking to upgrade to a pair of subs that could get louder and sound better. I was wondering if the SSDs are efficient subs because I notice they are rated at 800 watts rms because I'de love a pair of the 12s sealed if they are effient and would knock hard and sound good with my amp. Or do you think I'de be better off with a pair of the 10s ported and tuned low? I just want it to sound good and hit hard.
  11. I need help picking a pair of 12s for sealed operation. It'll be power by a JBL 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. I want a pair of 12s that'll hit hard and sound good sealed with about 500 watts to each. I had a pair of Orion HP 12s and liked them alot but I blew one and I'm looking to upgrade. So far I like the look of and am thinking of a pair of Audiopulse Epic 12s in dual 2 ohms or Fi SSD 12s depending on how efficient they are. Any other suggestions? I'm looking for a pair of 12s that'll get louder than and sound better than the Orions. Preferrably a pair of efficient 12s.
  12. I've heard some RF installs in my neighborhood myself that knocked real hard and they impressed the hell out of me. However there are alot of subs that knock much harder than the T2s. I'm not knocking them in any way, however the BTLs destroy them in output. The BLs are louder than the T2s. If you want something that hits crazzy harder than a T2, why not a try a DD 9500 series sub and kill your neighborhood systems lol.
  13. Wish I could see the pics. They're not working for me
  14. It's funny how people used to like Treo subs just as much, if not some more than RE subs and nobody talks about them anymore. I'm thinking of upgrading my system within the next few months. I have a 2006 Corolla sport for those of you who don't know me already and a JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp powering a pair of Orion HP 12s sealed in 1.2 cubes per chamber and a Batcap 800 for my amp. It sounds pretty good but it dims just a lil bit at night so one of my upgrades will be a bigger alternator. I just bought a new deck online (Alpine CDA-9886) for my iPod. I may also upgrade my amp to a Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D. I'm thinking of upgrading my subs to 2 SS RL-p 12s sealed or 2 Treo TE 12 inch subs sealed. I'm suprised I haven't heard much talk of the TEs on here, they look like serious subs. I want a pair of 12s that'll knock hard and sound great sealed.
  15. Does anyone have or have experiance with this CD Deck? I have this deck in my car right now and like it alot. I just bought an iPod online today for my car being the deck has a USB connection. Anyone running an iPod in their car? How does it work? Can you control it from the deck?
  16. Dude, do yourself a favor and don't get the CVRs. I had the CVXs and their a step about the CVRs and I wouldn't even recommend those. The V-Max subs are a better than the CVXs in my opinion.
  17. JBL 1200.1 II. It's going to be wired by 4 ohms being I don't want to upgrade electrical system or extra batteries.
  18. I've always liked sealed enclosures myself and am really leaning towards the 2 Epic 12s sealed. However, don't ported enclosures make subs run more efficiently? How do you think a pair of RL-i 10s would sound ported with 600 watts in 1.35 cubes each tuned to 27 hz?
  19. That's what I'll do. I have one more question and I hope it's not a dumb one. When you have a 1200 watt amp and wire the impediance higher (like 4 ohms) so that it'll put out like 600 - 700 watts do you set the gains like that of an actual amp that puts out 600 - 700 watts?
  20. It can be either 1 or 2 ohm. As for budget, I could spend up to 400. So far I'm considering a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4. That won't work for you since you need a 1 or a 2 ohm stable amp. The Sundown SAE-1000D puts out 600w at 2 ohms, 1000w at 1 ohm. That would be much better for you. You'll want to order the DVC4 Epics. Basically any amp would work that puts out about between 300 watts - 400 watts per sub. With the SAE-1000D I'de be spending more for a 1000 watt amp when all I want is a 600 - 700 watt amp. Also, I don't need 600 watts per sub. I was told by Soundsplinter that 300 watts per sub would be great. I have a JBL 1200.1 II amp in storage, from what I understand it's a pretty solid amp and puts out 700 something at 4 ohms. Does that sound like it would work good to you? The reason I'm sticking with 600 - 700 watts is it's going in my girls new vehicle and she doesn't want a new alternator or extra batteries. Just maybe a Batcap 800 or cap.

  23. I'm looking for a good 600 - 700 watt amp. Any recommendations? It'll be to power a pair of Audiopulse Epic 12s. Impediance doesn't matter. Just needs to be able to power a pair of Epic 12s. As for budget, I could spend up to 400.

  25. Thanks for your help! I know what I'm going with now.
