Audiopulse subs?
Because I wanted to do either a pair of ported 10s or a pair of sealed 12s. Someone told me being I liked my sealed JLs soo much that I should stick to sealed 12s and the RL-i doesn't come in 12s anymore.

Audiopulse subs?
Does anyone have experience with Audiopulse subs? My favorite sub setup that I had was 2 JL Audio W3D4 12s sealed with 500 watts. To me they got decently loud and sounded good as well. I was strongly considering a pair of RL-i 12s sealed, however they don't make 12s in the RL-i series anymore. Someone on here told me the Audiopulse Epic subs are the same as the RL-i series. I'm looking are a pair of 12s sealed that'll knock harder than my W3D4 12s and yet also sound good with 600 - 700 watts.

From 12s to 10s
I've never heard of Audiopulse before. However I just looked at the website and their subs look impressive, however looks can be decieving. How are their products? How are the Epics the same as the RL-i divers? Their RMS is higher.

From 12s to 10s
It's a shame that I can't get a pair of RL-i 12s. They would have been perfect for 600 watts. I liked the RL-i because 300 watts per sub would have been good on them. I don't like to underpower subs. What pair of 12s would knock nice with 600 watts? As I said, I liked the way the W3D4s sounded. Is there a pair of 12s that'll knock harder than those and yet sound as clean with 600 watts?

From 12s to 10s
I've always thought a flatter frequency response was better myself. That's why all my setups where sealed and my favorite pair of 12s I've owned where JL Audio W3D4 12s sealed. They just sounded good to me with everything I've listened to. They got pretty loud and sounded good. Alot of people on here say they're ported setups sound as good as sealed setups and that ported boxed have better low frequency response. That's why I might want to try a pair of ported 10s over a pair or sealed 12s and I really like the look of and what I've heard about the RL-i series. If they still had them in 12s I would have liked to tried a pair of the 12s sealed.

From 12s to 10s
Because the pair of 10s ported would be louder. That's what the topic is about. I'm thinking of trying a pair of 10s ported and wanted to know if it would be better than a pair of 12s sealed.

From 12s to 10s
Because to port a pair of 12s you generally need a pretty big box for them to sound good. A pair of 10s ported takes up about the same footprint as a pair of 12s sealed.

From 12s to 10s
I've always had 12s sealed. One of my favorite setups I had believe it or not was my old JL Audio W3D4 12s sealed with 500 watts. IMO they got plenty loud for the power and souded good to boot. How would a pair of the RL-i 10s compare vented with 600 watts?

Premium Series 18" Driver
Dude, that sub looks awesome!

Best sub that can handle only 150watts?
RE RE series

RE SR subs question
I've been stongly considering a pair. Would those get nice and loud ported with 600 watts and sound good?

RE SR subs question
What would be an above average pair of 10s to you with 600 watts ported?
-
RE SR subs question
I'm looking at the RE SR subs for 600 watts and I may run a pair of the 10s. However I saw that the 12s only require 1.5 subs per sub tuned to 35 hz. Does that sound right? If it is correct what type of sound would that produce? Would it have good SQ and get loud?
-
Which would be louder?
Thought those subs needed more power than that? Both are great choices if 600 watts would be good for 2 or either. Was also thinking about a pair or Sound Splinter RL-i 12s sealed or a pair of RL-i 10s ported. Would a pair of 10s ported sound musical and also get loud?

Anyone have a system in a Corolla Type S?
Thanks for your advice and input. You gave me some good ideas for my car and I will be getting a bigger alternator when I have the money next month. I'm thinking of running a Fi BL 12 in 3 cubes ported with a SAZ-1500D. I want a loud LSQ setup.

Hmmm, maybe will look into upgrading my alternator then. How is 70 amps not enough for the amp I want to run when you have 180 amps and am going to run 4000 watts? is this guy for real No need to be a d!ck about it. It's just a question. I'm trying to get a total understanding. That's why I asked, to understand and learn. I will be upgrading my alternator when I have the money.

Fi BL 12
I have a JBL GTO 1200.1 II amp. Right now I have 2 Orion HP 12s on it sealed in 1.2 cubes each. I hear that the Fi BL's are efficient. Would my amp and a Fi BL 12 in 2.5 - 2.8 cubes ported slam? Also how is the SQ on the BL's and do they drop low?

Actually 70 amps isn't that bad. My last car had a 50 amp alternator and I had a 1500 watt amp and a solenoid and a Stinger Power 2 dry cell in my trunk along with a cap and I had no dimming at all.

Anyone have a system in a Corolla Type S?
I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla Type S and I was wondering if any of you have the same car and have a system in it or have seen a system in a Corolla Type S? I need some ideas on setups. Right now I have a Batcap 800 in the trunk along with Dynamat in the trunk and under and on top of the rear deck, a JBL GTO 1200.1 II amp powering 2 Orion HP 12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each. So far I'm upgrading my amp to a Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D and upgrade my Batcap to a solenoid and a Stinger SP1000 battery. I already have a 70 amp alternator so I don't feel the need to upgrade my electrical system. As for subs I don't know yet. So far I may want a pair of SS RL-p 12s sealed in 1.35 cubes each.

The Mag is here.
I'm hoping they will also come in more impedance options. I'm strongly considering this sub as well.

Which would be louder?
Is the BL really just an all out spl sub and what do you mean by the power I don't have?
-
Which would be louder?
What single 12 do you have and what size box tuned to what? I want a 12 that'll get loud and have good sq. I'de go up to 3 cubes for an enclosure.

Which would be louder?
I have a JBL gto 1200.1 II amp that puts out about 1100 watts at 2 ohms. Right now I have 2 Orion HP 12s in 1.2 cubes each and they sound ok but I would like a louder setup that'll have good sq. I'm considering a different pair of 12s sealed or a single 12 ported. I've always ran sealed setups with 12s and I'm thinking of trying a pair of ported 10s. Can a pair of ported 10s get louder than and have good sq like a pair of sealed 12s? Right now I have 2 Orion HP 12s sealed.
