  1. I'm very interested in purchasing an enclosure from you. Do you have pictures of the different styles of enclosures you build and how do the different styles differ in sound?
  2. I saw this video and though it was insane and wanted to share. Enjoy.
  3. Has anyone played with these before? How are they and how much power do they really need?
  4. I have a 2006 Corolla Type S. My alternator is 70 amps. I have a Batcap 800 as kinda like a 2nd battery for my JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. My system dims a lil bit but not too badly at night. I had a pair of Kicker CVX 12s powered off this amp and one blew and I sold the other one. I also had a pair of Orion HP12s and one blew and I still have the other one. The reason the HP blew though was I was playing Trap or Die by Young Jeezy with my iPods Bass Booste on to make the song hit harder like an idiot lol (I know not to do that ever again). One question I have is could not my electrical system actually be damaging to sub setups? In my older car I had a solenoid and a Stinger Power 2 SP1000 battery and 2 caps and a pair of Orion P12s sealed powered off a Brutus 1500 watt amp and they got pretty loud and never had problems with that setup and my alternator was even smaller, it was 40 amps. Granted I know the Brutus doesn't put out 1500 watts lol. Should I get a bigger alternator or should I just do the big 3 and get a solenoid and Stinger SP2150 and keep the Batcap 800 as well? I can get Stinger stuff for pretty cheap. I'm going to eventually sell my amp in favor of a SAZ-1500D and also want a SAX-100.2 to power a component system.
  5. So for the power he's using wouldn't he be better off with the sub as stock? Correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't the stock be more efficient than with either of those options?
  6. What does the copper coil option do? Does it make the sub more efficient? yes, and makes it less likely to "peak". It also increases power handling. It actually decreases power handling.. The flatwind option increases it. So the Flatwind makes it more efficient and the copper coil increases power handling?

How so? He wants a sub that is loud that sounds decent. What's confusing about that. From what I hear on this forum the BL's do sound decent and get loud. Both the BL and BTL have a Daily and a SPL option. He wants something for a loud daily driver that'll sound decent.

I've always thought the SQ of the BL and BTL were kinda iffy and more geared towards SQ. However I notice that the BL and BTL both have daily options and the new BTLs always have a high Xmax option now. Do these subs have decent SQ? I friend of mine is looking for a pair of 12s ported or a single 15 ported being powered by a 2500 watt Kicker zx2500.1 amp that'll get very loud and have decent sq. I like the look of either of these for him but want to know more about their sq.
  10. Anyone have the Arsenal Series or heard them? My friend is looking for a pair of 12s for sealed operation to power off a JL Audio 1000/1. These look nice but how would they sound sealed?
  11. This post is getting deleted today. It turned into something that I didn't intend it to and I fed into it like an idiot. I apologize.
  12. LOL! Werd, JL on the real rapes Kicker in every way possable and the MTX 9500 series kills just about every Kicker sub there is. Rockford on the other hand I'm not sure about.
  13. Why do you always up up posting on one of my topics with something that has nothing to do with my topic? lol. I'm just curious about the way the SSDs sound compare to the CVXs because I used to own the CVXs. Nowhere does it say I'm going to run out and get either pair. Because your topics are not beneficial to the forum and you refuse to do what I have asked multiple times. Either explain yourself or stop asking. Oh, so now you own the forum and can tell me what I can ask when this topic is out of curiousity lol. Dude, you're like a dingleberry to my posts.

  15. I don't prefer ported setups. Ya see, to some people sealed sounds better than ported and vice versa. I agree with you, but if you're looking for significantly more output and won't change, then adding more linear displacement is really your only option The SSDs have more displacement than the CVXs, correct?
  16. I don't prefer ported setups. Ya see, to some people sealed sounds better than ported and vice versa.
  17. id say drop THE kickers and go with 2 12 ssd's ull see a big dif A difference how, better sq? More output? Both?
  18. I used to have a pair of Kicker CXV 12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each chamber powered off my JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp (puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms) and they had a good amount of output and sounded ok but nothing spectacular. I know they would have sounded alot better with more power, like a SAZ 1500D. Which do you feel would get louder with the SAZ 1500D and the same sealed enclosure?
  19. I have had the pleasure to hear a pair of RD Sonance 12s sealed and I was impressed to say the least. The were powered off a 1500 watt Kicker amp. They got loud, sounded smooth and hit with alot of impact. I know that some of the people that work with RD are sketchy, however they do make some high quality stuff.
  20. My post it says "Just out of curiousity", not that I want a pair of 10s. I'm going to try throwing my 15 into a sealed box. What I want is a sealed setup that'll have a nice amount of output. I know and understand that there are subs that sound like ass sealed and some that could have a decent amount of output sealed. Actually it says: Same problem in your threads as your PM's. Please share what your goals are and stop asking this or that questions that CANNOT be answered. If you find a problem with my threads then why do you reply? I asked out of curiousity and you get all technical and annoying lol. Nobody seems to have a problem giving answers but you.
  21. Hmmmm, ok. Say both drivers are setup in their optimum recommended enclosures tuned for LSQ. Both subs have around the same amount of Xmax, except the 2 10s together have 20 inches of surface area vs 15 inches. However I'm sure the 15 would have the capability of dropping lower. 2 10's don't have 20inches of surface area. They have 95 sqin of surface while a single 15 has almost 125 sqin of surface... I thought cone area was diameter divided by two, multiplied by itself, times 3.14... so 2 10" would have 157 sq. in. cone area and 1 15" would have 177 sq. in. cone area. cone area is CONE area...not just diameter of the basket divided by two. Think about it... "CONE area" speaks for itself...there should be no explanation. That's what confuses me a little, because doesn't 2 10s add up to having more cone area than a single 15?

  23. So basically there is only SPL or SQ?

Ok, thanks for correcting me. I always thought a multi sub setup you just add inches of each sub and that's how much surface area you have. Please help me understand, where did you get those numbers from and which in your opinion would be louder?
