i own at dis chit, rockin the school scene, gettin paper, gath'rin haters! sorry, had to spit a few lines, lol. anyone in need of a nice compact mobile audio system, i.e. backpack speakers hit me up. mine is tippin the scales at 10lbs and pushin the 115db mark with the highs. bass is still iffy, gotta lower impedance but hey, just got it, work in progress same old same old. i can build from scratch, but seein as i am 14, and have no source of usable income, you would have to be in my area. (chicago, well plainfield but still close to). so thats my shpeal. whatever, pm me if you wanna call me or whatever to talk tech chit.

alright. i have an 8 ohm sub amp that is stock with my altec-lansings. totally wrong forum, i know it seems but wait. it is in my backpack, so there for it is mobile. well it isnt in a car, but thats not the point! 5" woofer, two bose 3's for mids, and two 50w roadmaster tweets. runnin highs and mids series'd , with crossovers of course, at 2ohms but woofer is at 8. would it be safe to run two 4 ohm woofers series'd at 2 ohm on an 8 ohm amp? thinkin bout these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=264-831 in this http://www.alteclansing.com/images/product...arge/vs2321.jpg main concern is decent LSQ. lous as a mutha(expletive) now but thats just the highs, blazingly crisp but missing that low end. plus, i need port ideas cuz the 1.5inch wide port aint gonna let these suckers breath. here is original enslocure specs: Dimensions: 11.3" Height x 6.4" Width x 7.7" Depth - Subwoofer port is about 2inches high, 1 inch wide, ovular...(is that even a word?) and 8 inches long. thanks for tolerating my brutal creativity, and thanks for any positive ideas!

Thats straight up horsechit. I'm not sure how the law works in your area but apparently it's based on something else other than actual law. In most places they can't pull you over for something you did the day before(unless its criminal). Where I'm at if the cops here see you but don't get you, then see you again later w/o the system on, they can't ticket you for it. I should know, I went thru this from a rookie cop and the judge threw it out because of this. But yes, tickets suck, that's why I only bang on the interstate and my bass amps are switched on the remotes. Rules Of The Highway Bitches!

so. you all know me as the kid who is only 14 but dreams big in terms of bass. now here i have another stupid idea. i asked my mum if i could get like, a present or sumthin if i got straight a's first semester in school. (ima sophmore now, no longer FRESHmeat lol) she, surprisingly said yes. first thing that popped into my head, and out of my mouth was "iCon 15d2" and dude, i almost cried cuz she still said yes when she saw the pricetag. so here are my plans. it is eventually goin in my car, so the box is going to be a low ported mdf. i want to know what i can do with it for a ht setup whilst i wait for my car. i am iffy on max power, estimating between 1500-2000w seeing as it doesnt clearly state peak on shop page. anywho, i am thinkin 800-1000rms. in my bedroom(20x15ft) will this sound good? i have a 5 channel amp for highs, uhh sherwood 8701 i think, and about 50w a channel under load. in the event you need further details, i am at heart, a music person. i listen to pretty much all rap, a little rock here and there, and occasionally al little jazz. but this is a rap setup, cuz i am gettin bass deprived since my speaker bike broke. the first note is way louder than the rest of the song so when it hit and i had the volume up , it cracked the brand new woofer

Just an FYI for your friend, he'd need a heck of a lot more cone area for it to work as a passive radiator. One 12" out of 5 isn't going to do it. nah it isnt meant to be, it is just better that a 12 inch hole in the box. the woofers cone is cracked because of my favorite song at max volume...(pop trunk wave, by trae)
