If I read your post right, you're talking about high efficiency, PA-style woofers in the 96-100dB/W range? nah i am talking monsters. blow up ya car monsters with way less power than usual.

now i have been thinkin' and i have a great idea for super efficient woofers. i ain't gonna reply til someone important who can actually do sumthin about it asks though. hint hint: i want to talk to you guys at SSA.

ummm jeez... i was imagining a bit smaller...ugh but i had a pair of twelves as my sub in my room, and all i wanted was more. hell, my bro has five 12" woofers in his explorer running at 5kw total and i just want more...i love those lows, those windshield smashing lows that just shake the ground. what i forgot to mention was, i am going for spl, as in , i want to do competitions. now is that possible with a beetle? or even a camry? i mean, i went on youtube lookin at stuff, and ran across 'galamonkey' and his four fi btl18's and loved it. i just want a car that has MORE that one mile to the gallon. (he drives an expedition) thats an old build..... even so....... and who in the hell runs 5 12's i wanna see the ohm load on that 4 12's are hooked up, and one is acting as a passive/seal so it is at 1 ohm

alright.... my last ditch i dea before i go to algebra is this: four SSA Icon 15d1's and a us amps 4000d in the backseat, a little like singaboy's eclipse, but two up and two front facing so nothing blocking the rearview (i like that) and ported into the trunk. double seals, and dynamat of course. dang bell rang... lemme know what you think!!

alright. now my backup plan (yes it is nerdish but i have one) is my aunts camry. she wants the beetle so i would get the camry if i said yes to the trade. now. using the backseat and trunk for the box, is it possible?

so in two years, i am getting a car. it will be my 16th birth day present. now my plan is: (4) MJ-18's in a clamshell (4) 6.5" tang bands in the doors (1) U.S. Amps XT-2000d @ 1ohm (subs) (2) Legacy LA160's (mids and highs) and 6 pioneer tweeters. all this crap is going in the back of a 99' beetle. ported and tuned to 30Hz, will this monster blow my car up? i mean it would be fun, but i would have no mode of transportation. so please, tell me now if doing this will be a waste of money and/or put me out of a car. i mean, how bad could it be? i just like my music loud!

alright. i have totalled up tha cost of four RF p3 15's and a SAZ-3000D and it is in the are of $1700-$2000. i want to knwo of course, if this setup gonna be any good? it will be in a honda crv tuned to about 26Hz and running @ .5ohm and i will set it to about 900-1000w a woofer. will this win me anything but a consolation prize? or will i b reigning champ? i only have enuf for the box for the 15's and the components. none for dynamat or stuff. dont want to do anything permanet to the car bcuz it aint mine, my friend is considering lettin me use his. thanks for any feedback.

yea...i mean, i wanted to go 18 an i have been braggin around skewl, "i am gonna get 18's!!" but when i realized, i had no idea of what they would sound like, (had a bad experience with cheapy woofers once, meaning <$200) i began looking around and found the 1000w p3 15's for $129, just a bit more than i was wanting to pay, i said what the hey, i trust my bro, no offense to you awesome people here at SSA, in his decision. i mean, they look good, those mj's, but by the time i am getting 18's, i will have a decent job, and will probably just save for LMS-Ultra's (BTW how many 18's could i cram into a '99 VW beetle? screw the backseat, i dont mind taking it out) i hate t ohave wasted yer times but i am a little apprehensive about a brand i have never heard of. thank you for understanding, sincerely, C.Spencer

my over all budget has been raised to the area of $600-700 this is mostly so I can afford to build a box. Still want two 18's and due to my research, I am looking for about 8.5cubes@26Hz because singaboy311's box is a kewl design. Again thanks for the help so far! I am looking forward to building this beast, just so excited ( parents aren't LOL) but hey, if its too loud, you're too old!

well....i was lookin at the plate amps you guys suggested and the 700x2 looks the best only question is can i parallel the woofers at 2ohms? i would love to get as much as i can out of them (700 to each that way) instead of 500 each. i have one itsy bitsy problem though. i have $20 for enclosure after woofers and amp. any suggestions? i know for a fact nothing will be prefab for 18's but i need sumthin til i can get the money for the wood. btw, is 1" mdf overkill? i just want to know because it is expensive (for me at least...)

oh lol you misread, i don't want to go Higher than 28Hz i love deep bass...lol the lower the better. it is 99.99% for music rap, a little metal, and of coursae to impress my neighbors, test tones like i said, 7 to 10 cubes a chamber is not giving up alot of my room. i dont mind losing it to this beast ^.^

it is for music, test tones, and just straight to ridiculous BASS lol.i was thinkin the boss amps, cuz i could get alot more power out of em and they are el cheapo. lol...you won't be getting a lot of power from those amps...at all. No where near rated. Please take those numbers with a grain of salt. hell yes a heaping mound. i bought two 17$ pyramidd woofers.....NEVER AGAIN oops g2g to algebra meh...
