Big three vs Big two
I can drill a hole for a frame ground and get more wire, but before I do, can someone help me understand how it'll be better than a direct line? I'm not understanding. I know grounds should be short, but if my ground is shorter than my power, what's the issue? I have less than ten feet of zero gauge feeding an orion XTR 5002 (soon to be a PPI900.4) bridged at two ohms, mounted under the passenger dash. When I buy my royal excelene 4/0 I was also planning direct lines to the rear bank, then from the rear bank to the amps. I'm using 4/0 for every amp, with reducers to fit the terminals.

I'm a foot and a half short lol.

I thought it was better to have neg and pos runs from front to back Same. I have plenty of room for runs anyway.

Big three vs Big two
Should I still bother with a frame ground if all my amps have direct positive and negative from the battery? My sub amp current has direct runs to the battery of 1/0, which are both less than ten feet.

Interstate size 8D bulldozer batteries
Found a 220a for my truck for around 350, and I only plan on about 3500rms total for the Near future. I don't have anything against starting the upgrades with the alt. Despite a decent price on one locally, I emailed singer this afternoon to see what he could cook up for me.

Are they agm batteries?I'm pretty sure the location I went to has agm and standard. Definitely following up, since I want to mount them sideways to save depth.

Nice how does it sound?Picked them up an hour ago lolBrought them inside til I wire up the truck, threw them on a 500rms plate amp, and I'm in love. Nice and flat, everything I throw at em sounds so musical. I have one 10" gcon running on 400 wrms.I'm actually starting to consider some SSA's instead of the mag v3's, my neighbor is having me build a box for his icon in a few weeks, can't wait to hear one in person finally.

Distance Between Ports and Hatch
Truthfully, for looks, I'd go as far back against the seats as I could, but iirc I think you want at least port radius distance from the hatch? Could be diameter as well, I'm not completely sure. More room won't hurt it though.

I can pick these suckers up for 195 each locally, 12v and something like 1200cca ea, anyone every used these before? https://m.interstatebatteries.com/product/26-4163958589-4163958502-2147384763-4294492278-4251616327-4163992330-4163958586-4163958484-2147384903/8D-MHD Considering two for my truck because the price is DUMB considering they're 130lb deep cycles.

My first build for a customer
He'd like it to look as factory as possible. Going to hide anything that'll fit behind, or under a panel or carpet. Should we order a zero gauge kit for the Brx 2000.1? I'm new to having the battery close to the trunk, haven't had a peek at the factory charging cables yet.

My first build for a customer
Hey guys, got a huge favor to ask, i'm doing my first build for a customer, for a neighbor, for an Icon 15d2 in about 4cubes @ 28hz forward firing in a 01 deville What should I shoot for for port area, and have any of you done forward firing setups in a deville before? I'm tryna make a good impression lol. We're going to carpet it to match the trunk for a stealthy look, well, as stealthy as a ported fifteen can be lol. It'll fire through the ski pass. I guess I'm super anxious about it since building for yourself you never have to worry about an upset customer, you just rebuild. Thanks in advance. Edit: It's for a blend of all types of music, and the mids and highs are the stock bose.

Dude, where have you been?! I retired from SSA. Popped in to see what was going on, saw this thread and didn't want to leave the guy hanging if he was looking for help building a box or something.I appreciate that greatly =] I may just need some guidance for my ported door pods lol, definitely new to me.

X'D Any recommendations for brands to seek out and audition? Never owned any pa style drivers before, unless my horns count. how much space can you have tuned to around 70ish Hz?I haven't opened my doors yet, I'll have a better idea once I order some deadening and pop em off. I don't mind a 1-1.5 cube pod tops, I have the pocket in the door I can fab over.
