  1. lol. what the hell? did you get a hernia from reading this or something? ROFL!!!
  2. Right? in my 14 years, 75% of what i see could be considered rude. it is ridiculous. i just sit back and wonder why...
  3. theis post was origninally about my backpack (currently in pieces). when and where did that stop being the topic? lol
  4. x2 i do try, i honestly do, but we all say stupid stuff around here and even if i account for 90% of it, it doesnt mean you have the right to dictate what i can and cant do. that is outright RUDE. now shut your lips and LEARN. there we go, got my thoughts across, M5 style
  5. Its people like you that piss ME off....
  6. i mean output wise. like, the head unit speaker outputs go to the tweets, and the signals for everything else go to the amps.
  7. all it is, is I cut it open, and took the wires leading from the power supply to the amp, and extended them through the port, out and to the battery. not all that hard, just takes quite a bit of patience, cuz those wires are hard not to rip.
  8. Update: i got a nice pair of skullcandy's. i like my music, but not the the extent that i would put PA horns in my car, specifically so others could hear. thats retarded.
  9. I agree with Jon, you guys should act your own age and grow up, let him be 14. Stop being arsehos. Thank you. And Jon, i dont get the logic either, i take advice, and i am wrong for doing what they told me to do...? Update, car is falling apart, even shakin the back seat loose (it doesnt fold like a normal car, it is bolted down, with a thing in the middle that goes into the trunk. The left tail-light is coming loose, and rattles up a storm, as well as something under the car (probably a bad thing, seeing as for the past three days we have been trying to figure it out, and have come up with nothing...) what is the best price-to-product ratio for sound dampening materials? only ones i know of are dynamat, d-amplifier, and hushmat. hopefully, it isnt a buttload of cash and we can deaden relatively soon, rattling is heard over the bass but other than that, we need to get some door speakers, and some tweets. and oh yeah, an amp for the doors, dedicating HU for tweets directly. if anyone has any suggestions, just....uhh....well post teacher is coming up to my row, have to go thanks for any advice, -Chris
  10. thanks, i have never competed before, really want to be a champ
  11. my friend is on the verge of purchasing two pioneer competition woofers. the 2kw rms ones, and most likely, two t20001bd amps. that, or, two 1500d's (i am trying to push him towards sundown, hear alot of good stuff from the customers). how would you guys recommend we prepare his WRX for competition? it is a monster of of the RF 200.2 we put in this weekend, and we are almost afraid of 20 times the power. his trunk is shaped in such a way that it is a vented box, inside of a vented box. it has a little passage thingy into the cabin that it pushes the air through, it sounds quite good, (when i can keep him from cranking it up and clipping it) finally got the measurements but noone cares about my other thread anymore The box dimensions are 32in W 17.5in D 15.5in H and it is 1.5 cubes a chamber. i didnt get a chance to measure the port, tape measure got jammed. but odd thing, the port is a "T" shape. box is like this (bottom of picture is front) [_T_] the "T" being the port. how do i measure that?

  13. mtx woofers and pyramid power amp
  14. alright. i can see where this is headed. lemme clear it up a bit. he needs an amp that is <2000w becasue the two together is 2kw rms. cant wait to see what 10 times the power (of the current subs) and double the excursion does to his poor subaru! he found an amp on craigs list, 6kw MTX amp for 300 bucks. are MTX amps decent? IMO subs arent all that but i havent got a chance to compare the amps to others. now the only problem with that is: it will burn the pioneers to a crisp if we are retarded with the volume knob. but we want to have room to power these woofers that we are about to get well, but be able to upgrade without much of a change. maybe new custom box, but thats it. forgive me for any errors in this post, sleep eludes me, and it is 2am.
  15. my buddy's mom accidently locked his keys in his car ( hers is at the shop) have to wait a few hours to get measurements
  16. alright. instead of fightin you, i will take some advice *gasp* yes i said it, I AGREE WITH M5 The post above outlines it really well. just saw, sorry for the miss on that
  17. alright. instead of fightin you, i will take some advice *gasp* yes i said it, I AGREE WITH M5 And this: COMPLETELY 100% CONTRADICT EACH OTHER. Yes, I needed to yell. wait i cant find what i said- what contradicts? and this is the amp we are planning on. electrical is getting done in the next week or so, that is not a problem. edit: sorry having problems focusing, dude outside is screamin at the cops for some reason, cant think give me a bit.
  18. Alright!!!!! this is like, huge!! we found two 3kw pioneers for $189 each. he wants them instead of the x's. we are gonna get them first, then an amp. the prefab box will be used til we have time to make a new one, or have one built for us. he wants to build it himself. any pointers? What amp should be used to run these? he has a limit on the amp, $1000 and under.

  20. me too, but it looks like it is, we took it apart and put it back together twice yesterday. not at all what I meant. It is pointless to compare two setups equally if they don't have at least somewhat optimized enclosures. My guess is that the expensive custom enclosure wasn't at all designed right for one set of subs and the pre-fab luckily just happens to be setup near perfect for the others. lucky us but you would highly doubt it would be suitable for two type x's right? (thats the end goal)
  21. That doesn't mean they are gonna be louder, maybe they are tuned really low for more low range and that most of that box is port. its kinda hard to tell over the internet. the mtx's dont dig deep How are the MTX's wired? they are SVC, so my bet is he had them wired pretty high. Parallel them. i parallel evry speaker i can get my hands on. that base is covered So you paralleled the woofers together? And bridged the amp? yes, and yes
