  1. Haha the beer is a utica club. Gotta support the local brewery! Same brewery that makes all the saranac beers.
  2. You won't be seeing a vid of the back. The drill got away from me and let's just say the hole for the wires in the back isn't pretty lol.
  3. As of now its powered by an audio authority power supply (same one circuit city uses for their soundboard). That's powering a soundstream rubicon 555. I've got some infinity plates and a soundstream spl12 hooked up to that. Just gotta make a box for the plates.
  4. I got a toolbox for 2 cents thanks to a listing error on sears.com. I've been using it to pile amps and crap on top of to test so I figured I would get creative with it. Did some cutting and came out with this. Its all wired up and works awesome. Just gotta clean up the wiring.
  5. The Rubis seem to go for some really good $$ lately. I like the first gen reference series the best... before the S and SX models.
  6. Lol that rubi isn't going anywhere yet. I found an ebay auction that said rubi 555 and had no pics. Only description was "awesome amp". Buy it now was $50 so I took a chance and ended up with a pretty damn clean 555.
  7. hmm.. Maybe I'll just try a few different setups and see what works. I'm putting in some polk mm465s and A/D/S 335ims in the car.. I'm losing my mind trying to set this car up.
  8. If these amps are so inefficient what makes them hold their value? I've seen some of these class A soundstream amps go for insane $$$
  9. Class d? the only amps I own are the pre-sellout soundstream amps.
  10. It shouldn't be that ineficient if I'm running the amp @ 4 ohms though right? The 10.0 might not even go in my car. I plan on running a svc 4 ohm exact 12 so I will probably end up using a reference amp on that.
  11. They would only be running @ 4 ohms. Except for the 10.0 which be running a sub @ either 2 or 1 ohm.
  12. Here's my dilema... I've got a few soundstream class a amps all of which are 2 channel amps with a seperate gain for each channel. I recently picked up a rubicon 555 5 channel amp and could use the 4 channels to run my front actively. I've got a class a 6.0 going to my fronts now. Would I really be able to tell the difference??? This is just for personal use and not competition.
  13. Finally got the deck in today.. damn that copper is clean!!!
  14. When I picked up this poor thing I had to re-solder the voice coil wires back on. It was really beat up and covered in liquid nails... yes liquid nails. I tossed it in the jeep and hooked it up to a class A 10.0 just to break balls and beat it up. Its surprisingly LOUD and takes all sorts of abuse. http://www.jordanpolizzi.com/temp/spl12.wmv
  15. I picked up 2 the other day for $360 each. One for me and the other for a friend. The options seemed nice but if it doesnt work out I'll switch back to alpine.
