Budget 12" sub help
My g/f is wanting to use my old sub box to replace her current RF sub setup. She has a PPI i450 (450w @ 2ohm) amp and we've been looking at either SSA DCON or the IA I-series. Goals would be that the sub has to work with the current amp and work well with the box. Box is made for a 12" sub and is 1.35cu ft (was previously made for an ICON) and is sealed. She's primarily looking for more output and deeper bass than her current sub which is a 10" $50 RF sub, so I know either of these will be better. Which sub would be the better to go with? Are there better options than the two mentioned above?

2006 Nissan Titan
Those connectors are really cool. I will have to do a bit more research on them. Curious to know how much pore they can handle. They're rated for 40A contiuous current (like DC) and 50A of Audio signal. Depending on the amplifier design that could be 2,500 watts and more. It could also be less it just depends on the amplifier, it's design, and whether or not it's ran at those levels for long periods of time. What kind of terminal do they use? I currently use banana plugs to make my box easily removeable, but I like how these can't short out the amp. Good looking build osiris. Box turned out nice!

Zero Ethos motors left.
Congrats on the quick success! Very glad I ordered mine when I did!

Sub usable for parts?
The thought crossed my mind, but with my basic knowledge, I don't trust myself to try re-building one. Plus, I've already ordered an Ethos. It is rather easy and then you would not loose as much money. I'm sure it probably is. But for something like that, I would probably prefer to be shown the process hands on. For me, I dont know anyone locally to show me that. Its just a matter of comfort level I guess. In this case, my loss would be someone else's gain.

Sub usable for parts?
Stupid and irritating mistake on my part. Had my sub box pulled out of the car and on the kitchen floor. Was packing up for vacation and needed to move the box. Picked it up and didnt quite get my fingers under it in time, slipped out of my hand and on to the floor. Fell only a few inches, but obviously just right.

Sub usable for parts?
I'm pretty unknowledgeable when it comes to selling off random sub parts, but if that's a fair price, I'd be willing to do it. You (or whoever) would need to pay for shipping as well.

Sub usable for parts?
Figured I would ask before I just ended up throwing this in the trash. Is this sub salvageable to be sold for parts? If so, whats a fair price? 20140624_232038 by riored4v, on Flickr 20140624_232112 by riored4v, on Flickr

Looking for a new 12" sub
Sounds like I might just do the Crescendo and Ethos combo then.

Looking for a new 12" sub
Sure. If you think it would still sound good in a bigger box that would be great. I could send the plans that were sent to me to you to also see if you think it would work. If it does work out, what is the current build time on the Ethos?

Looking for a new 12" sub
Goals are pretty basic. Faily small enclosure, daily use, big bass and to keep the sub happy with ether of the above mentioned amps. Id like to keep the sub around $350 or less.

Looking for a new 12" sub
Your box is a bit bigger than the recommended. Give me a few hours and I'll calculate how much power you will need to hit Xmax in 1.75 cft. Sent an email through the DSS site last week. Maybe it didnt go through. But regarding the box, the new one was never built. If I can use the same plan without paying for a new one, great. If not, it's not a big deal.

Looking for a new 12" sub
Currently have a 12" ICON but when getting ready to build a ported enclosure for it, the sub suffered its fate. So Im looking for a new sub to replace it. I had a custom box designed for it with 1.75cuft at 32hz. If I can still use that it would be great. Looking to power the next sub with either an Audioque 1200d or Crescendo 1500. The DSS Ethos lools great but it seems like the amps above would under power them. I loved my ICON but not sure I want to wait 1.5 months again. Suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Audioque 1200d replacement?
Just curious, but why? Same/less power and about $100 more.In my opinion its better quality and more durable. But if others are just about as good and a lot cheaper than just go with them. . . . I would like to try out that crescendo 1500 though Thanks for the feedback. Leaning towards the Crescendo 1500. I did like my Audioque quite a bit, but I like the idea of trying out something new. Seems like I've heard alot of good things about their amps.

Audioque 1200d replacement?
Turns out the configuration for the wires being on the bottom and angled didn't work out on the RF. The MB Quart amp above has the angled install position as well for the power wires. So.. looks like I'm either going to order up the Audioque (Soundqubed) 1200d again or the Crescendo 1500.1 for the little extra power.

Audioque 1200d replacement?
Ended up snagging the RF Prime 1200d mainly due to the Amazon Prime option. Really wanted to get the stereo back up and going again before the road trip this weekend. That Crescendo 1500 seemed like a great amp/option as well. If the RF doesnt perform well, I'll be returning it and likely go back to the SQ or with that Crescendo. Somehow I actually overlooked the 1500w version when I was first looking around

Audioque 1200d replacement?
I was definitely leaning towards it, but the RF amp mentioned above is pretty tempting. I can get it on Amazon Prime for about $35 cheaper than the Soundqubed and the specs look pretty similar minus having built in fuses. I'll likely pick either that one or the Soundqubed.

Audioque 1200d replacement?
Not sure I want to go much bigger. Dont really want to upgrade the electrical and the car has been happy at the current power levels. I did check out the Crescendo amps, but the smallest I saw on the SSA store was the 2200w version which is a little more than I was looking to spend. I'll check it out. Thanks. I wasn't sure if PPI still made good amps. My g/f is using a little 400w amp in her and I was really surprised at how small the amp was. It seems to work good for her though. I'll check this one out also.

Audioque 1200d replacement?
Have an Audioque 1200d that stopped working on me and I'm now looking for a replacement for it. I had no issues with the amp (until recently when I started smoking) so I have no problem going with the Soundqubed 1200d if thats the best option. I was about to order it but figured I would ask here first. Anyways, it's being used to push my 12" ICON. Any suggestions on a solid amp that will produce the 1200-ish watts under $300 shipped is welcomed. Thanks!

incriminator audio scion xb build, 2 18" judges on an NS1
thats the plan now. im just kind of experimenting. i still want to find something different for the face of the box. maybe some real leather instead of vinyl maybe go with suede? I think it would give a nice contrast and look next to the fur

12" ICON from sealed to ported
Also, if someone is able to help me design the box using an aero port instead of a slot port, that would be much appreciated. As for tuning.. I'm not sure where the best frequency would be. Its mainly for daily use and I primarily listed to electronic and rock music. I'm guessing around 30-32hz?
