  3. You won't need as much power with the Q's, and they will sound better (given a proper install of course) SPL numbers are strictly install dependent, we simply can't say that yes you are going to hit xxx.x dB's Will it be loud? Sure!

Only difference is wiring options for a given amp..look for an amp that does ~1600 watts at 1ohm for the dual 1ohm coils, or ~1600 watts at 2ohms for the dual 2ohm subs. Personally i recommend a sundown 1500...get the dual 1ohm coils and it would be great on a pair of SSD's.
  12. all my life been po, but it really dont matta no mo :procrastination:
  13. 18's come standard with 3...12's and 15's are 4 spiders. Pressure spots in the box can and do cause the cone assembly to rock one way and rub one side of the coil out....which is why many people in high strung spl environments do a lot of rounding and testing various angles to get the woofers to 'load' properly and not short out. Your new spider arrangement won't let it happen, so you won't have to worry about it.
  14. Pressure spot in the box will cause it to rub like that We'll get it taken care of for you with the new recone...shouldn't have a problem again. Thanks -Nick

You don't have to use it, you can use a normal credit card (visa etc). This thread is int he sticky section explaining everything: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7158

Volumetric displacement is simple, however its linear displacement that matters the most (and yields the least amount of thd) once you go past linear bad things happen..get mechanical noise, cone noise etc etc. Think of it as a piston..if a 12" piston moves 1mm linearly, it has far less 'volumetric displacement' than a 12" piston that moves 12 inches (merely an example, not to be taken seriously) Bottom line, if the cone moves more = more displacement.
  25. Nick (me) is in Virginia, Shawn is in Florida, so neither one of us know Gotta wait until Monday when Scott gets back to the shop. (check your tracking number perhaps to see if it says 'recieved')
