Check out the sticky section
I updated the sticky section just now, and after sitting here for a few hours i'm taking a break lol. It explains all the available options with the subs and whatnot, hopefully ill be able to get some pictures and some "cookie cutter" boxes done soon. Thanks for your patience while we re-build the forum Thanks! -Nick

eclipse ti 12's
large spider aint gonna happen... the larger diameter you go the more prone something is to have more deflection
-
eclipse ti 12's
yeah you can pick them out...ideally need to know the OD of the coil with a digital micrometer if you get a chance post a picture of it, we dont have any big diameter spiders..standard 8" progressive ones is all we have/use

eclipse ti 12's
hard to say really...i've never built one with our parts... isnt it based off of the tc-9 or is it like the tc 3hp?

Scott or Nick Please Read.
all of that info should be in there...i've made a generalized email of sorts for the money order things on what to include

Where is my order?
How long will it take to get my sub? For all Fi subs it is a 3-7 business day lead time. As all drivers are custom made when the order is placed (started the next business day if the order is placed after 12pm). Due to the ever increasing number of daily orders, we have had to change from our initial manufacturing flow process to one that is slightly more flexible and should be stable for the long term regardless of the number of orders received daily. Once we have received payment (and it has cleared) and the building process begins you will be emailed a tracking number via UPS (Quantum View). It Will say something to the extent of "Billing information received". This means that a tracking number has been assigned to your order, but it has not left the facility left. Please note that the delivery date noted in the email is assumed for same day pick up and is not correct. This will be updated once UPS picks it up and the tracking information will change to "In transit" with the correct estimated delivery date. Delivery time normally runs from 2-6 business days depending on how far you are from our Las Vegas facility. Can I use a Credit/Debit Card? Sure! Click here to learn how to pay with a credit card! While our webstore and check out process is Pay-Pal oriented and can be used as a method of payment, this does not mean that you have to have Pay-Pal to use the website for ordering. A normal Credit Card or Debit Card will work fine. Pay-pal is merely the processing company that processes the orders, but you do not have to have it to order our products. Simply ignore the "Paypal" portion of things until you get to the actual payments page. You will see the familiar Visa, MC, Amex, Discover logos and you can click there to open the credit/debit card processing portion.

What did you prefer? The sealed enclosure or the ported? Great review, thanks man!

SSD Enclosure Recommendations
SSD Series: Available options and what they do: Flatwound coil (+$20) – The flatwire coil option simply helps the power handling of the sub. The coil has more surface area to dissipate heat and will take more power then the regular round wire coil that comes in the ‘stock’ version of the sub. This option will also make the sub tend to be more prone to ‘peaking’ for a budget daily driving sub where you don’t have to use a ton of power to get maximum output and sacrifice sound quality a little bit. Copper coil (now standard) – The copper coil is a heavier coil and adds mass to the moving assembly. In comparison to the stock coil, or the flatwound coil, this has the smoothest transitions musically speaking. It is less likely to peak, and is a better overall sub for more Sound Quality based daily drivers. This coil is now STANDARD on the SSD. BP Power - This option adds a machined aluminum compression plug to the pole which helps channel all of the air under the dustcap around the coil for better cooling. To aid with this increased airflow we also add 6 axial cooling channels in the top plate. Along with increased thermal capacity comes the addition of an extra spider and a changed spider pack. All of these features increase power handling from 200-500 Watts depending on the application. Enclosures: SSD 10 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .2-.6 cubic feet of volume (after all displacements for those wondering). Ported box we recommend using .9-1.5 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) SSD 12 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .8-1.6 cubic feet of volume (after all displacements for those wondering). I personally recommend 1.1 cubic feet of volume for the copper coil option SSD. Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) SSD 15 – Ported box we recommend using 3-4 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) We are currently doing testing for sealed boxes, and I will post information if we think that it is ok to use sealed. Otherwise at this point stick to a ported enclosure. SSD18 - Ported box we recommend using 6-10 cubic feet @ 33Hz (this is optimal in our eyes and to our ears, you can tune 31-35hz fine if you so please) We are currently doing testing for sealed boxes, and I will post information if we think that it is ok to use sealed. Otherwise at this point stick to a ported enclosure. Pictures and cut sheets for some enclosures coming soon as i get time to re-do the forum again. Here's a fairly in depth review of the SSD: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7157 New SSD Options http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8161

Q Enclosure Recommendations
New Q Options for 2010! Cooling: The 2010 Q now features a solid pole piece that allows the addition of the Helicool cooling system that will allow an additional 200-500 watts of power handling depending upon install and scenario. Bottom line this option increases thermal power handling capacity over a “Stock” Q. P Chamfer: This is a chamfer on the end of the pole, it helps to bring the air down around inside of the motor and helps cool the coil better. It also helps relieve the pressure underneath the dustcap. Please note if you select “Cooling” this option is included in the cooling package. High QTS: This option is for users who intend on using the new Q series woofers in only a sealed enclosure. Spider: This option adds an additional spider to the spider pack to help with mechanical power handling and keeping the moving assembly under control. I Heat Ring: This option is a machined aluminum ring in the gap that lowers the inductance of the voice coil which allows it to play up a little higher in the frequency range and have better overall transient response. Please note that you can NOT select low Qts and the I Heat Ring options together. Past Q options: The 2009 and earlier Q series woofers allowed for a “BP” option which was a machined aluminum compression plug to the pole which helps channel all of the air under the dustcap around the coil for better cooling. To aid with this increased airflow we also added 6 axial cooling channels in the top plate. Along with increased thermal capacity comes the addition of an extra spider and a changed spider pack. All of these features increase power handling from 200-500 Watts depending on the application. We no longer offer this option with the 2010 Q series woofers. This is simply for reference for people who want to know what past options were offered. Enclosures: Q 10 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .2-.6 cubic feet of volume (after all displacements for those wondering). For ported boxes we recommend using .5-1.2 cubic feet from 28-33Hz tuning with 12-16 square inches of vent per one cubic foot of enclosure. Q 12 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of .8-1.5 cubic feet of volume. Ported box we recommend using 1.8-2.5 cubic feet @ 28-33Hz (I personally think that a 32 Hz tuning is optimal, and has the most output and is still the most musical daily driving). Use 12-16 square inches of vent area per one cubic foot of enclosure volume. Q 15 – We recommend using a sealed box in the neighborhood of 2-2.6 cubic feet of volume. Ported box we recommend using 2.8-4 cubic feet @ 28-33Hz. Again use 12-16 square inches of vent area per one cubic foot of volume. Q 18 – We recommend using a sealed box in the range of 4-8 cubic feet of volume. Ported box we recommend using 6-10 cubic feet @ 28hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it under 32hz. Again the same 12-16 square inches of vent area applies per one cubic foot of volume.
