  1. I wouldn't put that thing in a 42Hz tuned box if I were you, you're going to tear something up. 10's already suck for cone geometry as is..playing anything lower then your tuning frequency by a fair margin is going to result in you shredding stuff.
  2. USPS has your stuff..not sure when you will get it as we've never sent via APO to Italy before.
  3. neo motor off of a lightning storm sub..and some random strewn together parts in lord only knows what fashion.. not sure what to tell you, i'd follow Q box guidelines though.
  4. You aren't going to have something wrong with 4 subs man, post a picture of how you have them wired since you have them out of the box anyhow..like physical picture of the wires in the terminals.
  5. Sealed box: N/A cuft | N/A cuft Ported box: .7-1.5cuft | .7-1.5cuft Sub OD: 11.000” | 11.000” Cut ID: 9.250” | 9.250” Mounting depth: 6.250” | 6.250” Displacement: 0.16cuft | 0.16cuft Really 1.1 cubic feet per 10 is optimal..1.5 is on the extreme large end of things. You're over twice as big as it should be, and I still think you have coils wired of of phase because the subs are not moving in a box that is over twice as big as it should be (which is less then half of the mechanical compliance that it should have)..or you have your crossovers way out of whack and it's just playing 90+hz.
  6. Why are you running 4 10's in a 14.8 cubic foot box? You do know that the biggest box you should be running is 6 cubic feet right? It also looks like you've got the coils wired out of phase.
  7. Typical is 10-12 days right now..they have to be built..they aren't stocked on the shelf hanging out.
  8. Should be going out tomorrow..just had a back log of a bunch of 18's, i thought yours were higher up in the stack than they were.
  9. back side, it would have to go on the outside of the car
  10. If things are dialed in properly you will not have issues..if they are not..you will.
  11. Neo is too expensive and it makes zero sense to make..so we decided not to.
  12. It would have been, but we aren't making it.
  13. No..they have 4, you just can't see the layers.
  14. No..you just pull them through the terminals one at a time..they'll go.
  15. they put the wrong label on the wrong box..already got your dual 1 on the dock to go out..so you've got 2 hats now, happy friday.
  16. 7 months later and not on topic, but referencing only the last post in a method that isn't coherent to the flow of the thread (nor my memory) is where the dipshit comment came from. touche'
  17. For what it's worth..that has to deal with the inductive heating of the cheap ass amps that have no filtering on the output stage of the operating frequency of the fets... It does inductively heat the tinsel leads..and it does make them glow. hence: rev limiter analogy, not exactly dipshitesque.
  18. Yours is APO, totally different and we can not make a label until everything is 100% packed and ready to go, as the post office goes down to the ounce. UPS does not. If it is not weighed exactly (or a little over) they will send it back.
  19. Should be going on Monday, trying to get the baskets finished up for them!
  20. Should ship out tomorrow, working on recones today.
  21. Time out....why any of you are in here arguing is beyond me as it has absolutely nothing to do with any of you. His sub has been repaired..it was 100% totally his fault that it broke as it is, and we are not charging him to fix it. (Because it has taken us longer then 15 business days to get it done) The suspension was completely shredded on the sub...we went over trying to figure out how he managed to do it because the spiders were cracked all the way on the outside roll of the suspension, which I have never seen before, especially with the short coil that the SSD has. So, due to our mess up..he is getting the recone done for free...even though it was his fault. I believe it left yesterday if it was packed up and it is addressed to his father, not him..which also caused a great deal of confusion with us as well. To "Worstenemy453": How about you ask all of those "Competitors" of ours for pictures of machining their own parts in house..and seeing what they actually do or do not do and also ask them why their products are more expensive then ours are? Because we do all of it here in house here in the states; and they do not? (there is a great deal more of "do not do" rather than what they "do" for what it is worth, ie: Manupackering or re-boxing something that got tested for 15 seconds and being so proud that they "Did something"..and associate their brand with it. )..Man that is hard work, I would not know what to do with myself if I did that...clearing over 200% profit on something that took zero effort other then putting it in a box and slapping a label on it. If you put any of them (with the exception of DD, I'm sure they have somebody capable of running a lathe there) infront of a lathe they will wrap themselves around it and bang the part out of the machine and chuck it across the room, if not hurt themselves when they wrap them selves into the lathe because...they have never used one, and odds are have maybe walked into a machine shop at some point in time in their life. What we do here is different then what anybody else does. Occasionally we mess up, and we take care of the customer accordingly when we do so. Considering the sheer amount of work we do ourselves in house..I say we fair pretty well.
  22. Your subs are in route...if they didn't leave Friday, there were 12 of the IB3's done, got 4 more done to go today.

Ported box will be louder and not as accurate as a sealed box..that's about what it boils down to.

No. The purpose of the subsonic filter to act the same as a set of brakes on a car. If you tune your ported enclosure to 32Hz, that means that anything below 32Hz the port no longer resonates or keeps pressure in the enclosure and causes the sub to unload. If the sub unloads, you throw full power to it below the port tuning frequency which locks up the suspension, shred the spiders, pops the surround, and burns the tinsel leads up (look at a tinsel lead as the same as a pop top on a coke can, you can bend it back and forth within its mechanical limitations all day long..until hell freezes over. But, when you start bringing it past the mechanical limitations it begins to generate heat, and fatigues, and eventually rips off..this is what happens to the tinsels) An adjustable subsonic filter lets you set it at about 2Hz below the port tuning of the box so things roll off nicely. Otherwise, it is like driving your car with no brakes..and trying to stop, which does nothing but either cause you to get into a wreck or wrap your car around a telephone pole.
  25. I probably will here soon, i need to re-do the sticky section..again.
