2 12 SSD subs
- accidently ordered 3 18's with high qts
Relax. We do not have steel..or baskets..everybody knows this that we can not build them anyhow. Nobody takes 3 minutes to read the terms and conditions that we make you click and agree to. Maybe I should edit it so it makes us get your first born son, and 25% of your annual income..and we'll sue you when we don't get it lol (kidding of course, but that might get people to read) Please email me your order number (looks like I-XXXXX/00), and I will make sure that they get changed...we can't build them for a month anyhow. Spanyerd, we do not have a phone for good reason. People that act like that, is the reason why we do not have a phone number...aside from the fact that they would be immorally pissed off because it would never get answered because we would have to hire 5 people to handle the call volume that we would receive. Your cost on the woofers would go up between 30-70 dollars per sub to cover their salary (if not more)...and we do not want to do that. My personal phone number got out on the internet one time, I was not too pleased at the 16 year old kid that called 32 times in a row wondering where his speaker was that he ordered 3 days ago. He could not take the extra 30 seconds to read what he agreed to, which is why we have youtube videos now. Email is sufficient, if you do not agree..I am sorry. That is how it is, we do not have time to gab on the phone all day long. If we did not machine or build anything and ordered everything in pre built from China then sure we could talk on the phone all day long...all we would have to do is slap UPS labels..man that would be the life wouldn't it?- Question about BP Power

..and it didn't break..- Need a recone kit
Yep..post a picture of them.- Fi production concerns?
Thanks for the kind words guys. We're just in a transition period right now because we refuse to do any importation business for our raw materials any longer. We are out of a lot of things..and it is in the hurry up and wait fashion...nothing we can do about it either . Truth of the matter is though..nobody else can say they are doing as much here in the states as we are now!- Need a recone kit
Doubt we can do it as most of those use a edge wound single layer coil...- Me Complaining
Hammer..dolley, beat that shit back down, hit it with some rage gold, upol primer and then take the door off to get it painted at a body shop You can bend the door back straight on that car..anything new a few good tugs will line it out within reason- BL people
normal lead times aside from the 18s- comment on fi btl n3
..there's only a 10% difference in the N2 and UFO motor...which isn't much.- UFO btl spider spacer???
Should be approaching 2 weeks..not sure yet though.- UFO btl spider spacer???
and LOL at psi claiming to be able to fix that... I doubt very seriously if he has those magnets to properly redo it..but whatever. edit: That whole sub would need a complete rebuild..the only thing that would be re used is the basket, back plate, and top plate...275 is steep for a motor that needs fixed...and a complete recone.- UFO btl spider spacer???
12s used 1 15s used 2, 18s did not need any.- comment on fi btl n3
We say it is not ideal for musical or daily driving scenarios..which is why we have the N2..that is optimized for daily driving in the 2kw range. N3 has significantly more motor force than the "UFO" style of btl. "the BTL-N3 Series is the latest weapon in our arsenal directed towards competition use. "..right off the site.- comment on fi btl n3
Fs has absolutely NOTHING to do with frequency response. It has too much motor force for daily driving applications..causes a saddle shape response curve.- comment on fi btl n3
What we say is that it has too much motor force to be acceptable for a daily driver..the N2 is far better for daily than the N3. It's not going to sound like poo..nor is it going to explode..it's just not as ideal as the N2 is.- Fixing Crack In Trunk Floor
grind the surface down with a 80 grit flapper disc..stitch it back together with a welder, coat with por 15, seam sealer from upol, done- Got my Fi bl but something wrong??
Put a 30Hz note in it, turn the volume up a little less then halfway..make video of sub moving...upload to youtube...post here.- fi X 12" with BP
Nothing wrong with having head room so long as he does not abuse it..- Dust cap blew off BTL 15
That box looks really small.- Got my Fi bl but something wrong??
Probably have a coil wired out of phase..if you play it for much longer like that you'll end up roasting the coils. Triple check your wiring.- problem with spider btl
pole 1, gt-40 - 0- problem with spider btl
That pioneer SPL 8000 also does not have enough coil to move it past the mechanical limitations of the spiders either. They also..don't have 28mm of 1 way linear travel . We can easily stop this by shortening the coils and gap heights up and killing excursion, that's not a problem. However.. We tell everybody..you HAVE to have a subsonic filter and it HAS to be set right..or you WILL break your sub. Having a high excursion sub is like having a factory built race car...if you can not handle it and drive it into a wall and bend the front end of it up..that is your fault. Not fords.. It's not their responsibility to give you a competency test to see if you can drive it or not..that's why there are organizations like NHRA, to keep people who can not drive fast cars off of the track.- Sub Blown
- problem with spider btl
No you can not sew it back together. Your subsonic filter is probably off..the silk screen on the amplifier is a joke at best for a reference point. JL audio explained this years ago in the 1000/1 series that the "25Hz" screen print on the amplifier with the gain pot all the way to the left is actually 16Hz...the "50Hz" screen print is actually 62 or 65Hz.. The only way to set it properly is either with a tone CD and/or a scope to see if the filter is actually doing its job and filtering the low frequencies out. Gotta thank korean/chinese amp manufacturers in putting in "equivalent parts" meaning that if the person who is buying the amps from them and branding them specs a 2% variant part..they do not know if it is 2% variance or not.. It could be 25-30% variance..which would throw the screen print on the amplifier off by upwards of 30-40Hz. - accidently ordered 3 18's with high qts
