  1. You can't mix the old ones and new ones...there are people selling used ones if you want another to match though. If you have a BP power motor that has a standard gap size for us, it can be reconed from a D1 to a D2. If not, then I believe it is too tight. We do have an alternative that could potentially work..but the coil is shorter.
  2. da verb is da werd.
  3. quit tweetin' ya tweeter.
  4. Why not pickup one of the europower 4000's? http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=europower+4000&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=13813361865686884331&ei=9tUdTdOGK4Sq8AbvpKWdDg&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CEkQ8wIwCA# ..It would be better then breathing gas fumes from the batteries

  6. Like I said..most everything has been cut up and parted out over the years.. Simply doesn't exist anymore.
  7. Sure you can technically do that. Only problem is you are completely losing the motor force from the other coil in the gap, and it is just dead mass. You can short 1 coil and make it variably Qts..however with a true DVC sub that is not the way to do it. When we do something like that we wind a 4ohm and a 2ohm coil on the same former. Given you the option to run the amp at 4ohms and short the 2ohm coil shifting the Qts. It will be an option with our HT brand here shortly. Your RMS figures drop in 1/2 though..as you are only using 1/2 of the wire. I wouldn't suggest doing it to a sub that it is not designed for.
  8. If you really want to send it in you can.. But it is a huge waste of time and money. We'll gladly fix it for you if you want us to. It is easier for you to pop it back on with some 15 minute loctite brand epoxy and put something heavy on top of it to weigh it down over night like a Gatorade bottle.
  9. Wait..shit.. I read that too fast. If you have a single 1ohm coil you can only wire it to 1ohm. A single 2ohm coils..wires to 2ohms. If you have a dual 1ohm coil then it will wire to 2ohms as in the diagram above
  10. Audio Innovations is pretty close to you, give them a call. 352-409-0245
  11. I have no way of messaging you or emailing you. Shoot me an email [email protected] and I'll get you a dealers information.
  12. Y'all are both wrong, the Mayhem is the more SPL geared woofer with it having no pole piece vent at all and more then likely a tighter gap. No.. They are two different woofers that are made for the same application for two different markets. Neither is going to be leaps and bounds better for SPL, or daily driving. They are targeted at the same purpose..which is higher power handling daily music. Few of our subs even have pole vents any longer.
  13. I will shoot you a quote with shipping over today.
  14. One of the chrome stickers probably...they just don't stick as good as the rest of them. Email me your address and what color it is and we'll send you a few new ones.
  15. No such thing as high qts on those.
  16. Most of everything has been cut up and beaten apart and made into something new.. Steel bits don't last long around the shop at all.
  17. I'd never put more then 600 watts on a 2.5" coil..regardless of what youtube says. Just because a few can, does not mean everybody can. Very little room for error after that point. I can put a video up of me making a 7 second 1/4 mile pass in a 3000 horse power drag car, but this doesn't mean you can hop in and and do the same thing, there is a lot of learning curve there that people do not see in these videos. You will never see me condoning or suggesting to run more power than what is rated in any video or post...that is like giving a 7 year old a can of gas and a pack of matches and expecting them to not set anything on fire. Havoc is a completely different sub then the rest of them. Not in the same category or class, and is more expensive to reflect that. SSD and HDC3 are are probably the closest related going on linear excursion figures. You have to figure the SSD and Havoc are both machined and built here..and none of the others are. Which should in theory effect price. Shoot me your zip code and I can route you to a dealer.
  18. Merry Christmas to you and yours, we're out of here until Monday. To all that are traveling, travel safe! Best wishes, Fi Staff

IB's are going over to the Home Theater brand (new) to keep the car audio people from trying to run the "550 watt" sub in a ported or sealed enclosure that it was never supposed to be in..and then yell at us when they turn it inside out because it has 1 spider.
  21. Uploading all of the new pics on our Facebook page now! Tag yourselves in them and add us as a friend if you all have not already!
  22. NDMstang65 replied to Kyle1141's topic in Fi Products
