  1. Keeps stupidity from happening. They should be set with a scope...so you can see the wave form and not burn stuff up. But of course nobody ever reads anything..slams them in a box "tweaks" the gain..."sets" the subsonic filter..and wide open they go. A week later they are emailing MY SPEAKER QUIT WORKING YOU ALL SUCK I HATE YOU THIS IS WARRANTY I AM GONNA SUE. ..yeah..
  2. Yeah don't know why it throws that screen on some of the recones.. You just click the payment page and you're good to go.
  3. Yep we still have a few left...same as last year only the motor is black. Not many at all though.
  4. Just send them into us... Include your name and all of your contact information and what you are wanting done to them. Size, Coil impedance etc.
  5. The difference is on the ID of the coil. BTL's run a 3.000" ID coil, the coil for those motors are 3.018" You'll never be able to tell unless you have coils in your hand all day long or a set of calipers.
  6. I've got the email highlighted..just haven't replied back yet. I think you were asking about cost and I didn't know off the top of my head at the time... If you ordered BTL recones for them you messed up severely, those coils will not fit in those motors.
  7. Not going to happen... In regards to amps, I vow to my grave to never have anything to do with an amplifier until I make it here, myself. I see no point in jumping in the conga line with everybody else... I'd rather be the guy shooting bottle rockets at those in the conga line and laugh at them
  8. Uhh...the site has pics of the BTL? Same picture as all of the rest of the subs.
  9. More went out today! Check your tracking numbers for movement if you were amongst the first people to order when they were up on the website! Thanks for your patience!
  10. A really steep crossover point is used in my setup because i do not want the tweeters to die.. I don't know exactly how much power I am running to them, I can simply listen and know when they are having enough power or start to get pissed off. It rolls off fast, 24dB slope is about as high as you see in car audio, 18dB/octave is far more typical.
  11. You must figure out how much power you want to run first, and the budget for the electrical system as that is the foundation that the house is built on. Then you match speakers to that.
  12. http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae183/FiBoxes/Q%20Boxes/Q12sealed1.png What's wrong with that one?
  13. Old ones do not have a sticker on the back plate..new ones do.
  14. Can't stand the metal domes myself.. To each his own though. I've got the silks crossed at 2300Hz @ 24dB/octave
  15. They have a 1" small format silk tweet that is pretty much my favorite tweet. Not sure of the model number right off the top of my head.
  16. N2's are priority right now..the N1's will be available as soon as we get through this run of oversized parts that are hell on our machines.
  17. Huge fan of Seas tweets myself. Have balls to cross lower and are very smooth.

As stated in the other threads, I'll just condense it to this one. We have had an issue with one of our suppliers in either ordering or receiving the wrong size material for the 'side blocks' of the N2 motors. Long story short, we are having to machine down all of these surfaces, which simply takes 1-2 hours per speaker. We did not plan on this happening, but it happened and we have to deal with it. We'll be calling everybody as we have time and are able to and let everybody know the scenario in-between changing parts in the CNC's. We are trying to get them finish machined, in paint and assembled every day. We are hoping to have quite a few more going out by Thursday, Friday, and Monday. Thanks for your patience for bearing with us during these issues of this first run of new motors. Things like this happen, I am just thankful that we have the ability to fix the situation, albeit slow..we aren't dead in the water. Thanks! Nick

relax. Alain, I have your email. I simply have not replied to it yet because I am trying to figure out if we can get it to you before then or not. I will let you know as soon as I know. Problems happen, that's life. Relax, you are all in good hands.

Isn't available for purchase just yet. We've hit a bunch of snags in making the plastic mold pieces for the N2's..that the N1's also use as well. We're focusing all of our energy on getting the N2's that have been ordered shipped out before we make the N1's available.
  21. AHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA i'm sick as fuck...and that really hurt my throat laughing but SHIT that was hilarious. (literally) let us know on that one!
  22. True story. I accidentally flipped a multimeter over to 'ohms' one time... I saw a white flash of plasma and a concussion of energy as the multimeter exploded in my hand. Scared the pee out of me
  23.
BP Power: This option adds a machined aluminum compression plug to the pole which helps channel all of the air under the dustcap around the coil for better cooling. To aid with this increased airflow we also add 6 axial cooling channels in the top plate. Along with increased thermal capacity comes the addition of an extra spider and a changed spider pack. All of these features increase power handling from 200-500 Watts depending on the application.
You really do not need the bp power option for that sub.
