  1. Waiting until after 1st quarter to see how things go with the SMD and then seeing if it makes financial sense to do it then.
  2. No..it went USPS in full foam packaging...it's much cheaper to go to Australia that way instead of UPS.
  3. Andrew That sub left via USPS last week if not the week before. I'll have to ask Scott on Monday.
  4. 2" coil 250w sub...we introduced it in the beginning and it didn't do so well as many people are infatuated with huge amplifiers.. As said you never know when something might show up
  5. There are not any "Stacks" for the BL's. We've only had 2 BL's. The BTL's either had a 2 stack, 3 stack, or New single slug motor. If you do not need a new basket then do not select that you need a new basket. The only reason you should need one is if you are changing frame sizes. (12 to a 15..or 15 to a 18 etc.)
  6. Been kicking around the idea of something sorta X ish. We'll see what shows up
  7. Web guy got a few new shirts and the hats up...he's working on the beanies and a few other things as well. Got a long sleeve shirt too
  8. Just Gildan Shirts... XL is 30" long..in the T-Shirt. Hoodies are about 29" or so in the XL's.. They fit like any normal shirt/hoodie does..not ghetto baggy 'rockawear' type stuff..
  9. Constantly working on stuff... As said...things will show up when we want them to. I will say that the BTL's won't change for quite some time though.
  10. Not possible. Regardless you probably slammed the cone assembly into the basket on a note far below tuning which likely broke something. Those amps do not have adjustable subsonic filters...it's on or off at 25Hz I believe.
  11. Only alternator you need is a DC Power alternator... They actually do power at idle where you actually need it...the rest of those simply do not do it. They might do 40 amps at idle and 300 amps at 4000 engine RPM's...which is exactly where you dont need it. 200 amps at idle is much more important.

You can make something 72 point font and big flashing red letters and they will still miss it and not understand it. The only way you will make anybody listen is if a little guy locks the screen up and yells at them with a megaphone so they cannot 'X" off of it. ...which might be an idea...

headunit or amp taking a poop... isn't the sub...the sub only does what those things tell it to do.
  14. That style box with the port along the bottom with aeroports works best in explorers...
  15. Speakers are stupid...they do exactly what you tell them to do. If you tell it to drive itself into a wall..it does it. If you tell it to catch itself on fire via the volume knob..it does it. Ultimately it is not what the speaker can take, it is completely in the hands of the loose nut behind the controls.

Yet another person who clicks everything and simply does not read. "How long will it take to get my sub? For all Fi subs it is a 3-7 business day lead time. As all drivers are custom made when the order is placed (started the next business day if the order is placed after 12pm). Due to the ever increasing number of daily orders, we have had to change from our initial manufacturing flow process to one that is slightly more flexible and should be stable for the long term regardless of the number of orders received daily. Once we have received payment (and it has cleared) and the building process begins you will be emailed a tracking number via UPS (Quantum View). It Will say something to the extent of "Billing information received". This means that a tracking number has been assigned to your order, but it has not left the facility left. Please note that the delivery date noted in the email is assumed for same day pick up and is not correct. This will be updated once UPS picks it up and the tracking information will change to "In transit" with the correct estimated delivery date. Delivery time normally runs from 2-6 business days depending on how far you are from our Las Vegas facility." You are not buying something that is stuck on the shelf collecting dust for a UPS label to be slapped on it and out the door. You are purchasing something that is 100% made to order upon ordering. You also must consider that you ordered during the holiday season (New Years) as well as during CES...which has been going on all week. Check your tracking information.
  17. Replied.. btw: your name just comes up as "D" in your email
  18. Could I get a name for that? The ones ordered in November were completed quite some time ago...
  19. You don't need a template..a nail and a piece of cardboard with a hole in it the distance of the radius of the circle from the nail hole will give you a perfect circle every time... Come on...9th grade Geometry!

I figured, but they got a hold of it somehow right? That's a pro sound basket that has been around since the early 1980's.. As I said..i've got a solution for the issue..it's just not going to happen right now..we'll see after 1st quarter.
  21. No problem. Pick up a regular copper coil recone and don't abuse them They are only little subs and you have a TON of power for them... Subsonic filters are very very key in this as well as gain settings.
  22. Hate to break it to you but that flatwound coil will NOT fit in a copper coil gap. It will sit on the top plate... I hope you didn't order it already..

Is it possible to tool a LMS style 22" basket? The S.M.D. basket? Sure...but it becomes a return on investment issue... You are looking at a ballpark of $50,000 for a die cast tooling like that...if not more. Allocate that..over a period of time..and we've got to sell 250,000 of those or so for it to make economical sense. I've got other solutions to the problem to keep the cost down to the end guy, but doing something of that nature does not make sense from a financial standpoint. We'll do what makes the most financial sense to do, having something like that stuck on the balance sheet throwing things off that do not return as fast as other things simply does not make sense at this point and time.

We did that tooling and had a bunch of issues with draft angles and such...we're going to look into another option when it makes sense for us to do so..as scott said after 1st quarter 2010 I didn't like the way the 12 spoke turned out after doing stress testing on it. But this is why you do testing like that..so something that is going to fail does not make it to the market. In house failure is fine as it isn't ever in the consumers hands. We'll see what this year brings
  25. Current BL is 220mm.. If you can fit that then you can fit the Q.
