    That's a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly old Q.
  2. Click the link and read the technical section. So long as you stay within our guidelines you are fine. Thanks!
  3. I've got a DEI 1100D on my stock one..daily.. No issues, been in there for a few years now.
  4. Good..we got a chat on here still? I'll hop in it if we have one.
  5. Back it up...at least 3 times.. I don't want to have to write all of that crap over again lol.
  6. I never said that I had anything to show. The OP started the thread, not me. I was speaking metaphorically...and used an instance of a piece of pie. Everybody knows how we are and how do things, it just shows up, Unannounced...kind of like that weird friend that stalks you and shows up randomly on your front porch as you are going to bed. The New BL did..the new BTL's did..the original BL did...the sticker options did..the new shirts did..the hyper pole did...the bp power option did.. You never know what might pop up from one day to the next.
  7. Not really.. If it takes you 10 years to figure out something that took me 15 minutes to figure out how to do..who wasted more time and was inefficient? All things equal and the end result being the same... I'm done in 15 minutes and on to other projects due to significantly more experience, when the other person is sitting there contemplating..for 10 years. At the end of the day what it boils down to is experience..is everything, when you've done it enough you don't have to put up smoke, mirrors, and bullshit to make people believe that this is the greatest piece of pie ever. They simply understand the guy that did it in 15 minutes of time is "Just that damn good" at making pie But when it comes down to it..and I say it took me 10 years to figure out how to make that piece of pie..when it really took me 15 minutes, are you going to notice the difference when you are eating it? Or will you believe it because that's how long I said it took me to figure out how to make it?
  8. Might be something new tomorrow.. Or the next day.. Or the day after that.. Stuff just shows up, randomly. Not playing the "I've been working on this for 10 years" card..
  9. Told you in the other thread...I think it was $10 shipped.. recone ' at ' ficaraudio.com

Dual 2ohm coil. Anything over 1000 watts we recommend the BP Power. Thanks!
  11. Made them before actually...lol.
  12. You emailed me Friday at 11:25 pm Don't work on the weekends man, that's personal time. I'll get you taken care of when I go through email here later today. Thanks, Nick
  13. Got some new ones that we gotta get pics of up on the website.. The Fire and styled aluminum (can't remember the right name right now..i think it is technically 'rubbed aluminum') looks awesome! More cool stuff to come.
  14. Don't believe I have an email from you regarding a BL? Are you sure you emailed me and put a subject line in the email? Thanks! Nick
  15. the box was dead on 5cft and on the t30001bd theres just a switch on or off on the infrasonic filter and it was switched on and i think thats set on about 27hz i think, thats what it says in the maneul Thanks That's Why, Plus Over Extension. that sub should be able to take that if not then they need to do something about it 5ft is small for a 18" and this is the 3 btl with a ripped spider I have seen this week maybe they got a batch of bad spiders No it isn't. We don't have problems with spiders...we have problems with people who do not understand what a subsonic filter is, or what one needs to be. 25-27Hz is too low for a subsonic filter to be useful in a car. You can make an un-bendable iron wedge and somebody in this world will figure out how to bend it. Sure we could use a very short coil like other people do and put 34 spiders on it and mechanically limit the excursion that way. But the bottom end is going to die...and we're not going to do that. People need to listen, read, and learn. There is enough coil there for it to yank the suspension and it will pop like a potato chip over time if you play them for prolonged periods below tuning with no subsonic filter. Imagine the spider is like an aluminum tab on a Coke can. You can bend it back and forth within its mechanical limits from now until time ends. Once you start stressing the mechanical limits (stress and strain) and heat begins to build up in the aluminum it fatigues and fails. Exact same scenario with the spiders. It's not the spiders, it's not the manufacturing process, and it is not the product. It is the loose nuts behind the controls who simply do not understand until something breaks and/or goes wrong. Then they run to us pointing fingers saying it's our problem and our fault, when it isn't. Then they learn the hard way and have to pay for a recone when they could have taken 30 minutes and read what a subsonic filter is and does and why they must use one.
  16. Looks like you either don't have your subsonic filter on or it isn't in the right place. That only happens if your playing very very low frequencies below tuning of your enclosure. It needs a recone, and you need to adjust your settings. Thanks!
  17. Don't JB weld it back together.. Get a new basket and recone
  18. $10 shipped for the gasket btw.
  19. Pickup a bash 500 and a Q http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/fi-...-box-house.html
  20. No...first pics is what it would look like if you did not put the gasket back on it and let it dry. (That's not glued together, it is just sitting there) You put the glue on the spider landing and surround landing, you then drop the assembly down with the gauges in the middle of the coil, spin it so you are sure you have a good bond on the spider landing. Then you take the gasket and put it around the surround/edge of basket and let it dry. This centers it where it needs to be.
  21. Sure..gasket is $7 + shipping. Here's pictures..same exact one that you have.
  22. Because you are pushing it all the way out...it is not meant to be pushed all the way out. If you use the gasket to center everything it puts it into proper alignment..never an issue. It is the same tooling...exactly the same. It has not changed. Same part number..same tooling dye..same compound. Built thousands of subs with that exact same surround profile...it is not the surround, it is not the basket, it is not the tooling as they are all the same.
  23. It's a XXX. It uses the same 12 spoke basket..and the same surround profile...with the same surround landing ID and OD..with the same tooling. Scott used to own RE and designed the thing ..why would we send out things that don't work? That is how it is meant to be. Now, your XXX might have came with a wonky Chinese gasket..which is a good possibility as to why it fits weird, that did happen years ago. There were runs of them that some fit better than others...as vendors were changed a few times through the runs of those subs. Otherwise, the recone is what it is and is 'OEM equivalent'. Ask questions first...before pointing fingers. Watch the video. It is the exact same. Those dimensions on the basket have not changed in the past 15 years.
